You guys have a great vibe with Val Staples. Heaps entertaining. Get him back. oh and Katers man, once in a while would be sweet to hear him on again.

Someone send Vince some Golden Monkey so he can get hammered while Chris falls asleep. That was a great episode.

Ah, yes. When we talked about the worst comic book of the year. A year ago.
I like how you guys never have a full on bitch fest about comics and that you mostly stay positive but sometimes its fun to hear you guys rip into horrible stuff I miss the disclaimers by the way but if its too much work to do then don't worry about it. Also, more puns/clever sayings like "shake hands with their digital arm" which cracks me up everytime And at least once an episode I'd love to hear Wood say "not a good look"

And at least once an episode I'd love to hear Wood say "not a good look" Me, too. LOVE IT when he drops that one. It's the dramatic pauses that get me. Not...a...good...look.

I've always liked the show, but lately even more so as the boys have been discussing books I'm reading.
But I just think I'm probably getting smarter in my reading.

I don't know. I can see why the guys haven't been talking about it. it really hasn't been good. Robert's art is friggin' amazing but the story just doesn't do it for me. The Cobra series was great but the regular ongoing just lagged.

Hellz yeah! And: At some point in the distant futureVery soon, a run down of more 20th Century Boys.
Fixed.

It's awesome and it's the story that makes it so, top 5 books for me. I actually think the ones with Atkins art are the weaker stories (not necessarily because of his art). I would agree that Atkins a lot of times is the only artist that approaches average. The art can be godawful but the Origins and Cobra stories are and have been terrific. Atkins is usually on the main title and those are my least favorite mostly because of the pacing. I like the concept and sensibility, just think it's taking about a year too long. Now, the continuation of the original Marvel line? That shit is terrible in totality.

I love Cobra but have not checked out Origins. Where's a good place to start?

When these 3 titles launched, Origins was probably my least favorite (though I enjoyed it as a piece of a whole i was excited about). Then it kind of went into being character highlight issues, which again, is cool as part of a whole but probably wouldn't hold my interest by itself. Lapham tooks the reigns at #20, which is also the first appearance of new character and starts dealing with a phase or part of COBRA's recruiting that I think informs the the new series that started this month (the CIVIL War).
