What Parker and Hardman are doing is some of the best comics out there. Even when it was Loeb and others it was still more interesting then the other Hulk book.
Best Hulk has been since Bruce Jones run jumped the Shark.

Your last statement saved you from forcing me to stalk you and do you bodily harm. Because I have to concede, this IS a great Hulk run. I would argue that it's eclipsed by Planet Hulk, but it is awesome. But there is NO Hulk, bester than Green Hulk. I am gonna be totally bummed when Hardman bows out.

I actually just picked up and read the last 3 issues. I think the red colour of Red Hulk is much more interesting to my eye and Gabe's art is great. The story? Meh, not too fussy about it from what I've read. That Zero/One character has a great name, but not much else. Red Hulk still gets a thumbs up from me though because he is cool.

I thought the Red Hulk book was enjoyable but the last issue is my last issue. I don't like it so much to pick it up twice a month.

Yow! It's like the Twilight Zone in here! Gotta agree with the original post, Parker has been overshadowing Pak for a good run of issues. Dark Son was el stinko, at best, and this recent Hulk...Green Hulk 007 espionage thing (though beautifully illustrated by Mr. Grummett) is falling a bit flat, too. The three-issue Planet Savage storyline with Eaglesham was excellent and, for my money, the title's only saving grace post- World War Hulks. Maybe Pak's saving his best stuff for the last hurrah. Can't really knock what he's brought to the Hulk titles, though. Best the book has been in a looooooong time, even with the spottiness of the last year or so.

Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde is the best Hulk. ... No, fuck it. Red Hulk is the BEST Hulk. I think Green Hulk is the best Hulk character when done right but I've never been much of a Green Hulk fan and the Red Hulk character is (at least, at the moment) a lot more interesting to me. And the Red Hulk book is the most fun I've had reading a Hulk book. WARNING: I'm gonna spoil who the Red Hulk is in case anyone still doesn't know who the Red Hulk is. What Parker and Hardman are doing is some of the best comics out there.
I you. Its gonna break my heart if either (or both) of them leave.

I have to, with a heavy heart, disagree. The green hulk is the best hulk. Recently at least. Since the Hulk went down the planet hulk road it has been great. Even at its weakest(the saga that started the red hulk) it redeemed itself. Now, once Pak is off all bets are also off, but green hulk to me is the best hulk.

After listening to the latest 11OC episode I am convinced Vince has magic powers. Basically, I H-A-T-E-D the Jeff Loeb initial Red Hulk arc. Reallly didn't like it......and pretty much convinced myself to avoid Red Hulk for the duration (and let me tell you his appearences in Avengers were not helping).
But gosh darn, I know how good Gabe Hardman is.......and Vince is really persuasive.......ok, I'll give the current run a try!
I will say that that I think it unfair that the human under the Red Hilk has not really experienced the loss of control Banner has. I would live to see that in an arc.

He hasn't slept for a couple of weeks (not gonna say why) and its messing with him bad. So far, that's it. I don't think it'll be about loss of control (at least, initially) because the human under the Red Hulk (as you put it) is all about control. I think the internal struggle (at least, for now) will be more on how he can't turn back into his human self. He has to hide his true self from every single living person except for a couple of people and a bunch of LMDs.

Not to take away from what Pak has done these last few years, because the Red Hulk book now has spun out of something he started. Both the books are great. But they have done a damn good job making Hulk a title that you can read, and even when it has crosses over with other books, you still get a full enjoyable story in each issue.
It's always 2.99 (or 3.99 depending on what wacky Marvel pricing is smacked on it that month) well spent.

I was surprised at how the 'crossover' issues work on their own without having to read the other title. But of course, Pak killed it as well with his part of the Fall of the Hulks/World War Hulks stuff.

well...if we read Atlas none of this is shocking. P&H are a mammoth combo. It is because of them i am reading any Hulk right now. Loeb just made a mess and Pak seemed to run outta steam (for me) after planet hulk..the combo pushed me off.
Red Hulk is best because of Parker and Hardman - period.

I did, every incarnation and spin off. It was the start of my Parker love.

I think Gabe leveled up, I like his Hulk more than his Atlas stuff (which I also loved). Bettie Breitweiser makes him look good though, her colouring work is a big part of why I enjoy it so much.

Red Hulk is THE HULK right now.
Forget history and continuity for a moment and keep this title within context. Parker has a fantastic grasp on motivation with this book and Hardman's art is the coup de grace.
A new character means his own rogue's gallery and this gallery looks extremely promising with bigger events on the horizon. I don't feel as if I am jaded to this character and feel motivated to read on into the future. Isn't that what a book should do for its readers?

I'll buy anything she colors. Can't remember a colorist kicking my ass this hard since Dave Stewart. Glad to see more and more women doing well in the comics biz in general. Just finished the Osborn mini this week, Rios and Deconick killed it.

I love when people confuse the 2 words "my favorite" with the word "best".... Sorry, S. Earl, I don't mean to pick on you, I've just been noticing a lot of "best" threads on the forum lately extolling peoples favorites. I agree Parker & Hardman are top-notch creators and they are doing great stories about a character I really don't give a rat's ass about (Red Hulk). Best? not to me, though I can appreciate the craft in the current run of stories.

I guess its the best to him. Sure, it may not be factually correct but how would you even come to figure out what the best comic book is? These are all just our opinions anyway and we're all just talking here. Not looking to argue or anything, that's cool if people don't think its the best.

My favorite Hulk ever was the Peter David, three personalities combined HUlk. Kick Ass Keown was on that too.
