thank you so much tim!
this piece started as a doodle on a blank file and grew into what you see, just thinking of the man's work.
he's art has meant a lot to me over the years and i was very saddened by his passing.

one of the things i admire the most, beyond the work itself, is the persistence and determination on the art field.
for me, his work got better and better through the years, which is something we dont get to see that often on the comics closer to the mainstream.
it's a great loss but he leaves behind an indelible print on the medium, a massive legacy and one of the most exemplary careers.

hello every one!
i know i hardly ever post on this, or any other, forum but thought some of you might find this one interesting.

the set includes 12 unpublished exclusive prints, on 23x23cm (9x9in), 220gr conqueror paper, individually signed and numbered, and comes on a customised folder.

the full set costs $46 or 35€ plus shipping
shipping to the USA $14, to EU 7€, SPAIN 3€.

the set is dedicated in loving memory to Jean Giraud Moebius, Ralph McQuarrie and MCA (Adam Yauch). Wonderful artists who's pioneering, imaginative and inspiring ouvre had chief influence on myself, and many others, and who we sadly lost in this year 2012.

Damn!

Another artist that makes me want to throw all the stuff I use to deface dead trees in the trash!

Great stuff. Yes

nooo! never say that!
plus i myself have switched to 100% digital, in artwork, so a lot less pulped trees are coming into the house.

thank you both TimothyObriant and Devilhand for the support!
so glad you like the pics.

here's another sample of the 12 print set.
it’s kind of carpenter’s THE THING meets herge’s DESTINATION MOON
hope you like it!
and let me know if anyone wants one of the sets shipped to them!

thanks!!!
it its pretty detailed, i admit...
it's made for a larger print size, some of the detailing on the skin does get lost on the jpg.
i made some close up screengrabs of that area, with and without color.
