So I was sitting in Statistics class today and my mind started wandering
"I really like Mysterio, I just wish they would update his costume or something.  Maybe take a cue from Ultimate Mysterio...no that's just copying.  Maybe they could keep a shiny metallic helmet but not make it all fishbowly.  That would be cool, something like Cobra Commander or whatever.  Then they could like, update his powers and make him more deadly.  The illusion stuff is cool but he needs more weapons, like a suit of armor, closer to Ironman, but not totally like Ironman.  That would rock"

All of a sudden I look up and missed half a lecture and was lost for the rest of class.  This is not the first time this has happened.  sometimes I zone out and my wife asks me what I'm thinking.  I feel stupid saying "this awesome scene where Cap beats up Hank Pym in the Ultimates", so i just say " Oh nothing"

This ever happen to you?

taking those pre reqs for nursing?

Get used to it. I zoned out quite often during college, especially to the boring instructors who just read slides that you could DL anyway.

HA!  How'd you guess?

Stats isn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.  Did you have to take "Transcultural Nursing"?  It's such a waste of time.  The whole class is supposed to be "how to deal with people from other cultures", it goes past political correctness and back to rascist.

I randomly catch myself thinking things like:

If they did Amalgam again, which characters should they mix this time?

What would Ultimate DC look like (I like the idea of Superman being a "good old boy", more country than his current incarnation).

And random numbers and stats for a superhero rpg I'll never bother making...

No, not a class dedicated to it .. guuughh. We had a part of a quarter in nursing school dedicated to mulit culture nursing but it was only a month or so of reading/lecture. And we did read a great non fiction book on the subject that I did really enjoy.

I'm still waiting 20 years later.........

But please dont listen to me ,I  have been unemployed for 6 months so maybe she was right.

No problem. The Cornell system is a really good "active note-taking" system that keeps your brain working while you listen to lecturers. I used to teach an undergraduate class on study skills.

I'm still having trouble getting past the idea that someone doesn't like Mysterio's costume. It's in my Top 10 for villains, easily.   Cheesy

Comic Vine: Where does Thunderbolt Ross' mustache go when he turns into Red Hulk? Will your Hulk ever have a mustache?

Mark Waid: Thunderbolt’s mustache goes into the Negative Zone, where it enjoys its own separate adventures that will hopefully someday be told. Our Hulk needs no mustache. Muttonchops, perhaps.

I think it just needs an update.  I love Mysterio though.  Stuntman/SFX artist goes into crime=Genius.

If it was not for Dormamu and Ghost Rider I think he should rock a flaming skull/head.

It goes great with his mastery of fear and illusions.

For a "now" version of mysterio I would make him something of an illusionist maybe, tuxedo and faceless mask.
