So which page are we actually doing for this month's challenge?

Whichever you like. My "official" pick is the Kirby Watcher, but there's nopressure if you want to do something else.

Gonna start tonight. This time I'm working on an 11"x14" page so I'll actually get to add some detail.

Process shots and higher res going up on my blog. Used Sharpie med and fine sized pens for the whole thing (basically identical in size and feel to micron 05 and 02 size), nothing like a sharpie permanent marker, acid free and archival too. Hopefully I didn't Colletta it.

Thanks for the props Harry!

Heres my attempt at The Watcher by Jack Kirby. Couple of shaky lines here and there. Its intimidating inking someones as good as Jack. The level of detail this was mind blowing.

It's amazing! All of them are stunning. It doesn't matter which one I see I think, "Yeah, that's the only way it should be done." Then I see the next and think the same thing.

Indeed.

Here's mine. Not exactly happy with it, but sometimes that's how it goes.

The last two months were Marvel-centric, so I thought we'd pop over to the other side of the street with something DC related.

A great Bizarro piece by the MASTERFUL Kevin Nowlan.

Here's a blueline for those who like that sort of thing.

Also, take a browse of Kevin Nowlan's website, lots of fun process stuff there!

Hmm seems like that one will be a little tight for my tiny 8.5 x 11 printer. might have print it out in 2 peices so its 11 x 17 combined.

Gonna start on this on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I figure this is relevant in an inking thread. Did an homage to a Dan DeCarlo pin up illustration and posted some inking process shots up on my blog (http://spaceloverobots.blogspot.com/2011/10/decarlod.html) in case anyone is interested.
