Brush only? You must've been drinking the water from that owl fountain too.

Either way, great job Harry!

Is anyone else having trouble viewing the images above?

I can see them fine, from home and at work, but some aren't seeing them? The links are from a public Dropbox folder.  Bangs Head

Here are direct links, maybe that will help.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17453034/ass0315.jpg

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17453034/ass0315blue.jpg

Also, the file sizes are pretty large, so they might just be taking a little longer to load.

I can view them in Internet Explorer, but not Firefox.  According to Firefox: "The image "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17453034/ass0315.jpg" cannot be displayed because it contains errors."

I have to say I love the TITLE that All Star Superman was abbreviated to on the pencilled page. tee hee.

Dead guy here. Finished Pappy Cap's page (deadlines came and put this on hold for far too long). And I know I shouldn't frame it that way in between the bleed and normal work area, but it would've looked odd without the plethora of bats on either side of the half-splash. Oh well, took me long enough.

Those dropbox links work just fine in Chrome.

Never tried a Quitely page before. Looks like fun.

I think maybe the best thing about these challenges is it helps illustrate how important an inker is.  While both bluenote77 and Captain Russ did a great job, bluenote77's page feels more superhero as opposed to a more detective feel with Captain Russ' page.

Thanks Harry.

Totally agree on the different interpretations being a big part of the fun of this idea. Really looking forward to what everyone does with the Quitely challenge.

The pencils for this Quitely page read very flat to me. Personally, its going to be a challenge to bring more depth without color.

The sort of dead line on the pencils can definitely be a challenge, but you'd be surprised what some heavier line weights can do in popping detail out.

I'd love to try this Quietly page if my hand feels up to it.  Maybe I'll just do a couple panels.
