Daredevil by Frank Miller, Bendis & Brubaker are great runs on the classic Marvel superhero pushing the boundaries in different ways that are must reads. Mark Waid's first issue of Daredevil was 5 stars great w/ a cherry on top. I will be back for more of Matt Murdock's less gloomy adventures.

We racing in the Iditarod? I should have spelled it with a schwa. Anybody know that black and white movie, might have been Cary Grant who put his palm on the lady's face and then pushed her backwards off her feet by the face? I call that a "mush". I went to see Crazy Stupid Love, and Gosling is one sexy motherfucker. I'm not to proud to admit I've got a bit of a man-crush on the dude. Doesn't hurt that he's got the talent to back up the steamy.
I swear to who possibly could be or not be God that my life on Earth, nay my existence as a being in the cosmos, would be SO MUCH MORE SIMPLIFIED if more men, no matter what gender they proferred to do tha Wild Thang with, would freeeeeee their miiiiiiiiinds enough to give other men their props in the looks department, like this wonderful Jacobi man has done here. I thought Vince was going to will himself into paralysis trying to backpeddle away from the Handsome Shirtless Man talk. I wish he'd shown the same level of avoidance when he was gushing over Chris' toes--and there's a sentence I never thought *I'd* be able to type without total neural shutdown. um ...what was I saying again...?

There's a difference between being a little more upbeat, and being a corny Zorro knock off.
You acting like Zorro ain't hot sun. C'mon sun! And I'll take biting Zorro right now over the continued Miller Dick riding. It has to end.

Only reason I did was because I felt the movie talk was running a bit too long and I thought it best to push us back into the places we supposed to be.

I'm not sure what you were saying, but the odds of me being able to get En Vogue out of my head now seem to be stacked against me!

Just got back from vacation and finally got to dive into my dcbs box that had been sitting at my house. Read DD #1 and thought it was ok. I felt like the whole vibe of it was more Amazing Spider-Man than Daredevil. I don't mind making a couple of changes to the feel of a book but I felt like Waid and company felt the need to hit the readers over the head with it repeatedly. You can back off the more recent places DD has been taken and still get your point across imo.
Now I gotta finish listening to my backlog of podcasts.

I never said I didn't like the book. There were huge chunks that had me mesmerized. But you've gotta admit, that mother is NOT an easy read.
Agreed! I'm as big a Tolkien fanatic as anyone...he started writing The Silmarillion in the WWI trenches and spent the rest of his life finishing it, in between Oxford-don work and crazy Hobbit/LOTR success, dying a few months before I was born, leaving it unfinished...even with his son's editing the War of the Jewels/etc is a reference-book stype of read, IMHO. I love the Akallabęth and the descriptions of the Valar but the book definitely reminds me of beating my head against the Revised Standard Bible during my Roman Catholic youth...it was a chore to read that did yield some worthy imaginative benefits. This reminds that I need to read the King James Bible someday as I am a Walt Whitman nerd; much of his cadences are supposed to come from a life of reading it.

I'm not sure what you were saying, but the odds of me being able to get En Vogue out of my head now seem to be stacked against me! My best ex- imprinted me with that. We were in a deepthought discussion and she said "free your mind," then took a breath and frantically started tapping her temple, repeating " free your mmiiiiinnndd...!!!!" Needless to say, soon thereafter, I freed my mind.

That grapefruit was wrong. We call that abuse. Cary and Katherine affected more comedy thanks to the music score. Thanks Gordo!!

Today at work my iPhone decided to start playing an episode of EOC that I had qued up and in the middle of a completely silent room comes blasting out of my phone-"Welcome to Dickhead Walrus Party! nervously trying to shut it off almost dropping the hardware I very unconvincingly giggle "What the heck is that huh? I wonder why that started playing? Everyone glanced at me for a second and then just went back to work.
