Aside from a few books I've been getting since I was a kid, I tend jump off of books really quick if I'm not feeling it. Are there any books, especially Marvel or Image, that are worth jumping on right now. New creative teams, story archs, etc?

Thanks.

I hear DC has a whole relaunch thing going on. Buncha titles starting over at #1. Could give that a shot. Wink

That's why I said, especially Marvel or DC. DC is trying to empty my bank account.

I have been enjoying the new Moriarty series from Image.  Only 4 issues in right now.

I was just givin' you grief because of the timing of your question. You ever read Savage Dragon? The stuff after Emporer Dragon is a good jumping on point, just started in the past couple issues.

 Roll On Floor Laughing

You'd have to do a lot worse than suggest Moon Knight for that to happen.

Okay, maybe not a lot worse.  But still.

'sides, you obviously need help, so consider this this place a support group.

Journey Into Mystery over at Marvel has quickly become my favorite book on the stands. It's really not a superhero book as I would define it as 100% fantasy adventure but I'll be damned if it isn't exceptional. It is truly a book that people will be talking about for a looooong time. I'm talking best work on a Thor book since Simonson level good.

I would like to hear what you jumped off from.

Right now is a great time to jump back on: Savage Dragon, Daredevil, Punisher (regular and Max), Walking Dead and probably some other books.

I hear the 52#1 issues might be a good jumping on point for DC soon.  Cheesy

I stopped reading Amazing Spider-Man a while back as well as Hulk titles, Secret Avengers, Avengers Academy, Thor and a lot of DC books I'll probably be trying out after the relaunch. Strangely enough, I also stopped reading the Walking Dead, but not because it was bad. I stopped reading the Walking Dead, because I always felt so bad after reading it, even though it's a great book. I'll probably catch up on trades pretty soon.

I've never read Savage Dragon regularly, although I did pick up the first thirty issues from the dollar bins this year and enjoyed them a great deal.

Black Panther, the Man Without Fear

Is that good? I've been meaning to check it out but have not yet bit the bullet on it.

No.  Not at all.

The art is terrible.  Just terrible.

And the story?  About T'Challa doing his thing with the bare minimum (well, bare minimum for someone that came from a technologically advanced society) against a deadly threat while a serial killer is on the loose?  Blows.

You wouldn't like it.

Stay away.  Far, far away.
