I'd like to make a comment re Wood's point of view on Green Lantern. I get his criticism and it's a valid one and ultimately I probably agree with it.

However, good stories aren't just about heros overcoming overwhelming odds. Good stories are the ones where we feel a connection to the hero who is doing something heroic despite the odds. I think we've all been through what Hal is currently going through and if it was easy for him to find a job and pay his bills he wouldn't be very relatable. In fact I might even resent him.

But still, yes. GL #1 was a bit of a let down and a bore-fest.
