I completely agree. When I saw the site that was pointing her out I thought oh well that will make for a cool villain.

I wouldn't be surprised if this character ends up being a "Watcher" type of character!

Googled Santorum.  Hilarious.

Even funnier - the fifth Google entry is "Rick Santorum's Anal Sex Problem".

Now, did I lose karma for the Siuntres comment  Tongue or the Chinese pizza comment (look it up)? I could see both being inflammatory.  Thinking

Exhibit A -

Exhibit B -

I think that states my case pretty well.

Thin piece of greasy cardboard vs delicious meat, cheese and veggie stuffed awesome.

I've never had Chicago style pizza, much less genuine Chicago pizza, but that shit looks delicious to me. I don't understand how having MORE cheese is a bad thing? Pizza, pie, calzone? I don't care what you call it, I just want some in me! Deep inside... Wink

I love hearing Vince start to wrap up and I look at the timer and see that there's still 50 minutes of show to go.  I think "what the hell happens to set things off again?"

Chicago "pizza" is not pizza.
It can no doubt be tasty- but it's like a calzone- or a pie- like an actual pie.

But you won't go anywhere in Italy and find anything that looks like that calling itself pizza.

What you will find in tradition- is Ny style.  Neopolitan.

Like chicago style all you want- but like it for what it is and end the debate about whether
it's the best pizza- b/c it isn't pizza at all.

Never been to Palermo, Sicily, I take it? It's called Sfinciuni,  and they all eat it like that. Lazio pizza from Rome, is cut up in squares, man. Ain't nothing like the NYC stuff. It's all good, but NYC having a claim  to the work "pizza" is just incorrect, and reflects their typical arrogance.

BTW - the thick Sicilian stuff is also found in Boston, among other places.

In regards to the comment regarding Jim Lee being perfect for this type of book (JL #1) and Johns being the wrong wirter, I have a comment.

I agree that Jim Lee is the right guy to draw this book.  He's a fantastic cartoonist and excels in telling stories with super-heroes.  Big bold action and adventure are his forte and there are few artists that do it as well as he.  That said, I need to point out that Jim Lee is not the type of artist that you hire if you want to tell a compressed story.  If I'm gonna' put Jim Lee on a book, I want big splash pages, cool action sequences, monsters, robots, and tons of eye-candy.  The bigger the panels the better.

Did anyone actually expect Geoff Johns to write a dense script knowing that Jim Lee was drawing it?  One thing that we've learned over the years is that a good writer, writes toward his artist's strengths.  If you're gonna' write a dense script with a lot of small panels and contain a lot more story content within those same 20 pages, then Jim Lee isn't the artist you want.  That type of story would be better served with a different artist.

Jim Lee and Geoff Johns are both big names that sell the book on name recognition alone to current comic fans, but the new reader is gonna' buy the book based upon first glances and "flip-thru".  You want an artist that will reach out and grab that new reader and shake him until he says, "I must buy this comic because the art is so awesome".

If Geoff Johns wrote a showcase for Jim Lee and also wrote an entertaining story, then he is the right guy for the job.
