Just heard David say that Detective takes place in the past. I don't know that that's the case. Take a look at Gordon in Batgirl. He's that young now.

And there's also the editor's note in Suicide Squad. But I wouldn't mind seeing redhead Gordon for awhile.

Exactly! Amongst the three of us, I've been familiar with Slade the longest, right?

I read Superboy and Demon Knights last night. Superboy was very good. Liked the inclusion of you-know-who. Platinum blondes always make me gooshy. Well-written little story with a few neat tweaks on the title character. I can get behind this kid (DON'T BE PIGS!) a lot easier than the character Connor turned out to be towards the end. The whole bald-headed Titans period did not do the character any favors... Demon Knights was a hoot, only because I really love Etrigan and Madame X. The inclusion of Shining Knight was a nice touch and should grease the wheels for some funny banter between the characters. Knife-wielding dinosaurs and the 'swappin' smoke' scenes were also a plus. Pretty Tony Moore-ish art at the tail ends didn't hurt, either. I'll stick with this. Re-read Legion Lost and Red Lanterns, primarily to gauge whether my initial opinions that contrasted so strongly with Jason's were true. They were. I still enjoyed both and will continue to buy 'em. It's probably glaringly apparent, but I don't enjoy disagreeing with Jason. He's usually so dead-on that parting ways with him on things makes me question my opinions. Gotta stop doing that...

Great episode as always, 2 questions though,
Did no one read Grifter or did I just space out for a second while you talked about it?
Also can't believe no one has mentioned this yet but Vince, no love for the Batman cartoon? I always loved that and being a kid when it was coming out that was appointment viewing when I got home from school. It was some of my first real exposure to the bat and it's always stuck with me. I'll still go back and watch it now.

Hey, Chris and DAP made me re-think Action the week before, which I was middling on for wrong reasons and then came around on. Upon re-read, I liked it quite a bit. I'm glad you're enjoying those other books. Look, we said months ago when this was announced that if everyone in fandom ends up enjoying the same subset of books -- the relaunch was a failure. Their goal should be about creating diversity across the board and fostering a solid, deep bench of titles. Seems like they're doing just that.
