Previews this month is offering the first four figures in which will eventually be a full chess set with board. All the pieces including pawns are unique, no having all the pawns the same character here. With the detail that Eaglemoss puts into their pieces and my love of Batman I'm picking this up. I've always wanted a really nice chess set. I currently play with a hand carved wood set that's been passed down for three generations. I do love it but my son is going to be off to college in a few years and Ill probably pass it to him when he goes. With the DCBS discount the pieces are $12.00. In the end this set is going to cost about $400 but I think it will be worth it. Anyone else pulling the trigger on this?

This does look very tempting.

My understanding is that we can't get the board here in the states.  Any word on this?

That is my understanding as well.  I was tempted, but I'm ultimately passing on this...

I'm really tempted by this too, but the inability to get the board in the states combined with the high price is going to keep me from getting it.  Man, it looks nice though.  If they do an Avengers set, I'd probably bite the bullet.

We can't get the board? Where are you getting that from? That may change things if I can't have a nice board to put the pieces on.

It was a UK subscriber bonus. I hope they'll offer it in Previews, but it wasn't otderable with the first pieces. With the regular collection, the stand was solicit the first month with Batman and Superman.

Are these going to be made of lead like the normal eaglemoss figures? Definitely for display only if so.

They appear to be made just like the regular pieces. They look great, I did go ahead and order them even with the fear of not getting the board. Ill put something together.
