We all have our favorite books that are the first ones we read every week....our "top of the stacks" but as I was sitting here at work tonight and looked forward to getting home to watch tonight's "Homeland" and "Walking Dead" a thought occured to me. Last week, the show I watched first was "Revenge" and this week it's been bumped to third. I wondered if anyone else plans out their TV/DVR watching like they do their weekly comics. What is everyone else's "Top of the Stack--TV Edition?
I guess my top ten ( at least THIS week) would be:
1. Homeland 2.Walking Dead 3.Revenge 4.Amazing Race 5.Dexter 6.The New Normal 7.Fringe 8.Greys Anatomy 9.Glee 10.Big Bang Theory
Anyone else??

Cool thread. Unfortunately, my list is rather small 1. Homeland - MUST WATCH 2. Walking Dead - I watch to stay in the loop 3. Fringe - suffering from LOST syndrome aka I have to see it all the way through, but not feeling this season. 4. Green Lantern TAS - Letting them stack up in the DVR on purpose so I can shot gun them

My Monday night viewing is usually limited to whichever game of NFL my Dad and I choose to watch. Other than that, I usually end up watching Person of Interest before most other things. The Walking Dead is going to be watched as soon as I get it. I find that I'm usually watching video podcasts more than TV shows unless I'm mainlining them after the season finishes. Pretty much all my TV watching happens this way. I've been watching all of Eastbound and Down the past few weeks with a friend of mine. Let me tell you, that show is awesome, but I'm not a fan of it coming back for a fourth season. POSSIBLE SPOILERS (I don't think so but spoiler tags anyway) Plus I keep finding myself watching the West Wing on a loop... I really need to stop watching that show.

definitely strikeback is #1 for me. simply the BEST produced contemporary action show on TV right now. nothing can match its locations, stunts and cast.
(in no particular order) 2-parks and rec 3-30 rock 4-supernatural 5-newgirl (best new sitcom of last year, IMHO.) 6-last resort really, REALLY gripping. 7-walking dead (great 1st ep!) 8-fringe 9- castle (good time-waster) 10-up all night (not ground breaking, but arnett and applegate are consistently fun)

I watch almost nothing the day (or week, or month) it comes out, so my list just reflects my overall interest these days.
1- Breaking Bad (eagerly awaiting the 5th season) 2- Sherlock (I only have one current episode left; I'm savoring them) 2- Game of Thrones (whenever I get a chance to watch season 2) 3- Supernatural 4- The Voice (my dad got me into it; what can I say?) 5- Angel
I threw a few shows I haven't watched yet on the queue (Rescue Me, Jericho, The Office UK), but I don't know if I'll like them until I watch them.
Others reminded me of:
6 - Justified (I wish this was on streaming; I'd devour it) 7 - Sons of Anarchy (I need season 4) 8- Eureka 9 - Grimm (not sure about this one, actually; I watched it mostly because the (ex) girlfriend did, but I kinda like it.

I'm the same way, and for some reason I've been watching a bunch of anime lately. Here's a feeble attempt at a list: 1. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG2. Senkō no Night Raid3. Natsume Yuujinchou 4. Occult Academy5. Legend of the Galactic Heroes6. Community (rewatch) 7. Parks and Rec (current season) 8. Grimm (current season)

My "Top of Stack" is pretty small, as I tend to "trade wait" on TV shows & watch the collected seasons.
Stuff I watch as it airs:
* Walking Dead * Hell on Wheels * Justified * Alphas * Big Bang Theory * Modern Family * Glee
Stuff I love, but watch after it's out on DVD: * Game of Thrones * Dexter * Sons of Anarchy * True Blood * Homeland

I was thinking about picking up the first season of Person of Interest. Anybody a fan? It's gotten great reviews on Amazon and it's written by Jonathan Nolan.

Currently (top 5):
1. Dexter 2. Louis (the season finale a couple weeks back was one of my favorite television episodes of all time!) 3. Sons of Anarchy (I had lapsed but this season looks pretty good) 4. Fringe (also a lapsed watcher but want to see how the series ends) 5. Arrow (hooked after the first episode)

Shows on TV now (which is kind of at a high right now.) in no particular order: -Alphas -Falling Skies (Season 1) -Arrow (For now) -Last Resort -Fringe (Finishing it out but I'm enjoying this weird season more than the previous one.) -Ultimate Spider-Man (So silly) -Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -Boardwalk Empire (Stuff happening ) -Dexter (Getting better again) -Otherwise I'm more all over the map watching things after they have aired (Regular Show, Luther, Burn Notice Season 4 etc) or older shows (Twilight Zone, Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends).

I'd recommend it; first season definitely has a "case of the week" structure, but adds in some nice character development throughout the season. Plus, Paige Turco guests stars in a few episodes and brings the hotness to her character.
