The LOVELY Rowland Pearce sent me:

- The Kamandi Omnibus

- Grant Morrison's Supergods.

So fantastic and generous. I look forward to cracking open both and destroying them (with reading of course.)

Thank you again Rowland, and thanks Dr Teeth for the organisation once again.

I think my man Ford got you all beat. I will post more pics later and list everything but that might take me a little while considering how much stuff he sent me.

You're a good guy, Dan, so you deserve it...but wow.  That's quite a pile of stuff.  Have you flipped through Cursed Pirate Girl yet?  I love that guy's artwork.

The awesome Andrew Khonshu sent me a stack of great looking mini comics by Frank Candiloro.

http://www.frankcandiloro.com/
http://whitewolfcomic.com/

Can't wait to get stuck into these. Already thinking of picking up the other ones not in my haul.

What's fantastic is I've read none of it! Boogie It might take me a year to get through it all Cheesy You are da man Ford! Rock Horns Way too kind. Whoever gets him next year better send him some good shit. I definitely gotta step it up next year.

By the way, my wife is excited about the comics on top of that stack (Archie comics, Chi's Sweet Home, Bakuman) and wants to read them. So a big thanks from me and my wife. You're too awesome Thumbs Up I gotta send you some stuff to thank you for this but damn, it seems to me that you've read every comic book worth reading Tongue

I'm glad you haven't read any of the comics (was worried about sending stuff that you may have read) and your wife wants to get in on the reading action. Hope you both find some stuff to enjoy.
Don't worry about sending stuff in return, I'm always happy to spread the comic love.

Yeah I have, looks great! I'm looking forward to reading it and a bunch of the other stuff. So many goodies from Ford's box, I can't wait to get into it all. And thanks for the kind words Smiley

Hope you both find some stuff to enjoy.

She's already started reading Heaven All Day. I think she's gonna enjoy the non superhero stuff and maybe even the Batman comics. I can't decide what to read first Tongue

I'm always happy to spread the comic love.

This whole thing has taught me to be more generous and let others get a chance to read some good comics that they might not normally get a chance to so I'll be continuing with out little tradition here next year. This whole gift exchange is fantastic Cheesy Thanks again to you for your tremendous generosity and also thanks to DoctorTeeth for organizing this.

Tiki hooked me up with Stitches, 20th Century Boys v. 1, and BlackSad. Very excited to dig into these books!

Glad you liked them.  Each is a classic in their own category.  When you read Stiches have a tissue handy.   Cry

I opened HSX Scarecrow's yesterday and I was as giddy as a schoolgirl at a Justin Beiber concert.  I received Hopeless, Stephen King's Dark Tower vol 1 and Who is Jake Ellis... Which is a book I have been eyeballing for some time now.   Yes

I got a heavy ass box from Adam Austin a week or so ago.  I held off opening it until Christmas and I'm glad I did.  He hooked me up.

Queen & Country:  Operation Broken Ground
Milligan/Allred X-Force tpb
Shaun of the Dead tpb
Surrogates hc
iZombie tpb
Superman/Madman Hullabaloo
Bullet to the Head tpb

a few issues of Sandman Mystery Theater
a dozen or so issues of Batman & The Outsiders by Tomasi
S.W.O.R.D. in issues
Avengers: Initiative 1-6

A great gift.  And the only things that I have read from the list are Queen & Country and the Avengers: Initiative.

Thanks again Adam Austin (which, I learned through the exchange was a pseudonym of Gene Colan)

Also, thanks to Dr. Teeth for organizing what has to be one of the best gift exchanges of any online community.

Thanks to EOC for providing the place where all this awesomeness happens.

Rook187 hooked it up! Thanks, bud!
I waited 'till Christmas morning. My daughter squealed at the big bag of Heroclix Boogie. She immediately found Wasp, and questioned her costume.. She only really knows The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. But, we had lots of fun identifying all the characters and organizing them into teams. Now I need to get a few more core characters to round out the teams. Anybody got Hulk, Cap, Thor, Wolverine, or any cool Marvel extras?? I'm not looking for rare variants or anything. Message me...

I read Hulk: The End years ago, and am psyched to dive back into some Peter David/ Dale Keown. Rock Horns
I've been meaning to check out Umbrella Academy for a while... Yes
Confession: This will be my first Hernandez experience with Luba . Whistle
What is this ancient technology? Thinking LoL, I haven't owned a VCR in years. I've hit up a few of the homies, but no one seems to have one... The anime may be on hold for a while.  Roll On Floor Laughing
Chuck Austen's War Machine MAX. Cool. It seems like I've heard some podcasting about the production of this series... Was it on EOC? Was Chuck Austen on Word Balloon? I can't remember...

Hell yeah! Thanks Rook187! Happy New Year!!!

Glad you liked Stringer!

edit: forgot to mention that the Hernandez "Luba" just wasn't my cuppa. I got it last year for the gift exchange and I wanted to make sure it got into the hands of someone who would appreciate it. I really hope you like it! There are boobies!

Yeah he did. He probably would've had to take out a mortgage if it was international Tongue

P.S. I just realised I didn't get to take a picture of the Betty and Veronica Friends Double Digest because my wife was reading it. She's loving the comics more than I am! Cheesy
