Greendale is a really neat read.

Indeed. Not too many other message board communities are gonna do anything like this. I applaud anyone who sent anything to a fellow forumite, many of whom are relative strangers. You all rock.  Rock Horns

Glad you liked them.  Each is a classic in their own category.  When you read Stiches have a tissue handy.   Cry

I opened HSX Scarecrow's yesterday and I was as giddy as a schoolgirl at a Justin Beiber concert.  I received Hopeless, Stephen King's Dark Tower vol 1 and Who is Jake Ellis... Which is a book I have been eyeballing for some time now.   Yes

The Tiki Freaky Tiki

So glad to hear you got something you had had your eye on! I hope you flipped through that copy of lovestruck by mellon and hopeless too.

This is my third year doing it. Every year I'm more and more impressed with the generosity. Like you said though, I applaud anyone who sent anything at all. The amount doesn't matter.

You really can't beat this forum. It's the best there is.

I was wondering about giving enough stuff too. I kept on thinking what the 11 O'Clock standard was from the previous year since I remember some people getting a lot of stuff.

It ok guys, I think everyone would agree its about the effort not how much you give

That being said I went through the same thing last year and tried to really stuff my box full of goodies this year  Tongue
And good god did he Hearts. He sent me the following:

Punisher Frankencastle Deluxe Hardcover
Incredible Hercules- Smash of the Titans Deluxe Hardcover
First issues of Brilliant, Loudmouth/ Super Action Man, Okko The Cycle of Air and Robotika
The following mini-comics; PS Comics b-one #1-5, Brain Dead Phylum #1-2, Gosh is dead #1
Low Concept (An EOC Anthology- Yay!)
An iron man mecha (looks like super-hero squad- is awesome)
A sketch of King Mob done by Slurmo (which is beautiful)
An Apocalypse...meh and I  Thumbs Up indie comics sticker
And finally about 50 (I'm not counting them Jonny) Apocalypse...Meh/ Earth 2 podcast postcards, which I will be dropping off at my LCS (Travelling Man Manchester) next week.

The generosity astounded me, considering all of this was Jonny sent all of thus over the Atlantic to rainiy Manchester, UK.  And as I said to him in a PM, it arrived yesterday after me, my wife and son had spent four hours completing a 2 hour journey back from the relatives- half the journey in a car, one hour standing on a moor by the side of a motorway in a storm with gale force winds, torrential rain and hail after the windshield wipers packed up (burnt out motor- my wife didn't fancy driving at 70mph with zero visibility) and then the rest sitting in the back of a breakdown truck. His box put a huge smile on my face and for this, he deserves massive karma!   Hearts

Whoah, slow down son - the box I got was awesome!  Near as I can tell, there's 2 ways to go with this thing.  You can go through your collections and pick stuff you have doubles of, or can part with.  Most of us can fill a big box of awesome going that route.  The other option is to buy new. Copies of something you really love, and share that with your giftee.  That was the route thanos.doom went, and I read something I had never read before and really enjoyed it myself.

Finally posting my presents from Mr. Jason Woooood.  We drew each other in the Secret Santa, so we each gifted stuff for the kids as well as each other.

Marvel Super Hero Squad #1
Batman: The Brave and the Bold #12 (Christmas issue!) and 19
Batman and Robin Adventures Annual #1 from 1996 (Great story, and features Mike Parobeck's last published work.)
Trials of Shazam! TPB 1
Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. TPB 1

So far so good....

Infinite Kung Fu!
Pyongyang, which I've meant to read for years....
Pinocchio, a gorgeous, lush, oversized HC.

And also a game called Qwirtle, which we'll be trying out this weekend.
So much goodness!  Boogie Not Worthy Rock Horns

And you might've heard what he got from me on the new "unwrapping" ep.  I'd say we did good.

Thanks again to Doctor Teeth for being the organizer and driving force behind this madness!   Not Worthy Rock Horns Not Worthy
