I don't know Vince. I think NWA talking about cops in a very unflattering light is different than what you say comes out of this book. 2-Live Crew I can kinda see even though they were always open about the tongue and cheek nature of their music especially with it's Miami Bass focus. Not many Death Row Albums was about killing cops and fucking white women. They were interesting ways of talking about the stuff they saw or lived or felt in those communities from a young black (or latino) perspective. And the whole level of gods thing I can't buy either. In the game you get that status by Rhymes. The work = God hood. Why do all the women want to be with them? Why does every guy want to be them? You know why you want to be Dre the first time you see him in that '64 in nothing but a G thing. He looks COLD.

I've seen both films Fear is way better than CB4 but both are pretty funny

SWEAT O MY BALLS!

Lets not forget all of the great work of Ghetto Boys and Too Short (Shorty the Pimp is in my all time top five)

Gangsta Rap Posse, I'll play the comics pass card or in this case, the Fast Forward button of the EoC podcast; I am sure it is great for others just not for me.  It was great hearing Jeff Lemiere on the podcast that is always a plus.  Fear Itself 7.1 should have been retitled Fear Itself 8 for the sake of clarity (as if that is something Marvel or DC does well these days) or put it in a new series #1 or zero issue.  Still enjoying the Walking Dead tv series slow pacing just going for the 13 episode ride.

I have actually come to dilsike Chris Hardwick quite a bit lately.  I used to love his podcast but over the last 6 months to a year, it's turned into more of a click than being nerdy like it started out as.  I talked about this with a friend of mine and he left the same way with an added vibe of "Doesn't it just suck being famous?".

I feel you. I wouldn't have an issue with his recent popularity if he was actually funny, but he isn't. I listen to the Nerdist for the guests and not the host, that is when I'm able to get past how blathering he is. He makes the guy from fanboy radio (remember that?) seem restrained.

FUCKERS! I burst out laughing at K'un-L'un cunnilingus Roll On Floor Laughing

Speaking of which, what's up with Marvel and getting rid of babies? I think Duane would've kept the baby if the series continued. Baby Power Man (or Woman) and Iron Fist is too good to pass up.

I don't even care about the guests as most of them lately have just been recordings from comic-cons.

You are correct sir. Although I have to say my favorite episode ever, second to Cranston, was the Black Dynomite Panel.

It's a little different than what I'm used to seeing from Greg Horn.  I like it.

Horn has recently changed his style a bit.  I first noticed it with Green Lantern Corps #42. The image was just really different and I really liked it.  Not saying I didn't like his other stuff but different can be good.

And yes, the Black Dynamite panel was fun.  However, him not being a comic nerd really spoils it.  He's basically from what I gather, a Doctor Who nerd.

It's not the image per se, but it's inclusion seems cheap, ya know?

It looked cool the way he had it spot lit behind him at his booth at NYCC. I think it was Rowland who joined me in 'looking behind the curtain' to see how he got the effect (was it back lit?...on metallic paper?...neither!).

I think we agreed they seemed out of place here and would be more fitting in a convention program.

It happens to me sometimes. I just wait a min or two and try again.
