Especially when paired with Marquis Grissom.
My fave is Steve Balboni from my Seattle Mariners.
Marquis Grissom! Now I have to make a comic book with two astronauts called DeShields & Grissom. Because it will be awesome & it needs to be done. Also, this Kirby talk is getting me so hype right now.

Hi, guys. Don't get on the forums much other than to lurk, but have been listening for about three years. Great show , as always. Anyways, you guys were talking about Gerry Alanguilan and it reminded me of this video. It ended up on Tosh.0 awhile back and I recognized his name.

Pete Vukovich...it's just fun to say. Kent Tululve...you see his baseball card and you wonder how he got into the big leagues.
All the Birthright talk, I'm going to have to revisit that one.

Thanks for the video, and more importantly thanks for taking a moment to jump into the forums and say hello. Thank you, Jason. I love the podcast, but because I listen while I work, I sometimes forget about jumping on the forums and commenting when I get home. I'm going to make a concerted effort to jump on more often. Thanks for the fun shows, Andrew Kolvek

I'm late to the game on this episode....just got to the Truman/Grimjack talk.... Wood, regarding your prior disinterest in Truman's art, have you ever seen any of his Grateful Dead Comix? I thought he really hit his stride of 'heavy metal meets underground' style on those both the bound issues and his 2 page color newspaper spreads in the Grateful Dead Newsletters throughout the 90's. Killer stuff. He draws a mean crow! I read Grimjack through the StarSlayer appearences back in its day (Starslayer started with Pacific Comics, remember?, then moved to First with issue #7, Truman taking over the art chores from Grell shortly thereafter on the Starslayer lead feature, too). I never followed Grimjack to his own title though, and wasn't reading comics while that series was running its course...I'll have to check it out sometime!

Although, for my money, it'll always be Scout.
