Goddamn but this was great.  Various story lines collide and it's all really awesome.  We all knew what was coming, but I thought it was done well and in a fun way.  Hickman nailed it in the overall story.

ton o fun. I didn't read the death storyline, so I didn't know how Johnny "died" but I heard it was pretty bad ass. I did jump onto the FF storyline afterwards, but issue #600 was quite awesome! Art was good, but Johnny story in the middle was very tight. I will be switching from FF to Fantastic Four now because I like those characters more than all the kids.

I loved it.  The main story was good, but more importantly, this may be the first supersized issue like this where I enjoyed it from page 1 to page 100.  Usually these things have filler in the back, but everything was great.

Another excellent issue.

Hickman is my favourite current writer now. I just hope he can be persuaded to stay on the FF for a long time.

Oh, and I love Epting too.   Hearts

First the complaint:  I had been a big supporter of Epting on the book, and this was not his strongest issue.  After the past few issues of Kitson and the Johnny story by Giandomenico I'm packing my bags and moving to the other camp.  I also don't get why he's drawing the Red Hulk so skinny and Ben so fat.

Now the good part:  This story paid off in spades.  We all know Johnny would be back and we got a very solid story to explain his time away.  I really enjoyed the concept of death leading to life in the negative zone.  The entire book felt like a big event with lots of action, some great character moments.  It still leaves open considerably more questioned that it answered, but that's just Hickman.

Finally caught up on my FF. Gosh darn I enjoy Hickman's run with the Fantastic Four and family (so much so that I hope he takes over from BMB on Avengers). Other than the Kitson issues, I have actually enjoyed the art. Regardless, the story is what keeps me coming back.

The events of 600 played almost to the letter of what i predicted months ago. And I could not be happier. I actually like that all was not resolved in this one issue. There is a still a LOT going on for Hickman to resolve. And THAT is how to get my money - tell a compelling story that is interesting enough for me to want ot see what happens each and every month. Mr. Hickman has me pre-bought for the next year at least.

I liked this issue alot. The explanation of how Johnny came back. That it was new stuff. In truth Hickman can do no wrong. Have enjoyed the whole run. Only downside is now we have to get FF and Fantastic Four.

This may be my favorite single issue of the year.  Pure pay-off for long time readers.  Fun short stories for new readers.  Great art and writing for all.  It was really like opening the flood gates of story.   The Yu Galactus short story was absolutely wonderful and forboding
