I'm not kidding, this really upsets my shit right now. the Tiki Unfortunately not. One of my best friends in the world is getting married, in California, on the weekend of NYCC as it turns out. Talk about crazy coincidences, that also happens to be the same weekend my wife's high school is having her 20 year reunion AND my high school is having MY 20-year reunion. So we're going to be missing NYCC, and our reunions, for the wedding. |

So at least know how valued you are, Mr. W, and how you're missed. And I don't think I'm crazy with the thought that we don't have to wait for comic conventions once or twice a year to hang out. Not just with me, but I mean honestly -- a train ride to or from Boston on a Saturday for Tim, and interborough meetup at Brooklyn Brewery (or whatever it's called.) A Saturday drive to Harrisburg, PA in a Zipcar (with someone who has better credit than me). A ride up to Montreal for some Clever Cupcakes with that barefoot kid and his dog, or just half of that to Rake a yard with Steve, or even half of THAT and break bread with a Jewish guy, a Nubian queen, and Nanuuq of the North. Just because we all met on the Internet doesn't mean we always have to stay on the Internet.  |
