Just a heads up, I believe after you buy tickets reedpop gives you a link to discounted hotels Not super cheap but a discount is better than no discount So buy you pass first If you have a website, comic or blog they make it real easy to get a discounted pro badge too so look into that

Just bought my passes! I'll be there. Going to be working with Transformers artist extraordinaire, Dan Khanna. Cannot wait!
I bought a couple of his prints last year! Awesome stuff.

Vacation approved. Plane Tickets Purchased. I will be in Chicago Wednesday April 11th and leaving Sunday evening April 16th, so I will have plenty of extra time to see the sites this year and hang out with the Chicago crew.

My gf has a job and it looks like she can get the Friday off so I'm almost a lock.
We'll probably just spend most of the time eating around Chicago and just spend a bit of time at the con and hopefully lots of time at parties.

I've reserved a few planters at the hotel in case either of us need to take a quick nap

I haven't seen Dan since the 2001 Transformers BotCon. How is he? I've got three prints of his still hanging in my house. Love that guy's work!

He's doing well. I saw him at NYCC and they had him hocking the GIjoe club which took out of his sketch time. We took a cab to Grand Central and discussed work. This how I got the hookup. I just wish IDW would get him on a book. He's more than qualified and is to good for the TFCC book which never sees mass release

Dan has an eye for drawing Transformers like no other. IDW is missing out. At least give him a backup story to start out with in one of the two new series. Glad to hear he's doing well, though. Wish I lived close enough to the Midwest to come out to C2E2.

Wish I lived close enough to the Midwest to come out to C2E2. He does NYCC and Botcon every year as well. I have one of his prints I need to get framed. When we were at C2E2 2, we went for dinner and were discussing his print for NJCC and couldn't come up with an idea. The voice actor for Destro was coming and I told him to do a print with whatever character the same VA played in TFs because they all crossed over. It ended up that he also did Devastator and thus the print of Devastator holding Destro was born.
