For those who will be in town on Thursday, I'm working with Wendi on finding a beer garden near Wriglely for a meet & greet. I'm also on planning on going to the Cubs vs Brewers game, if anybody interested in going to the game or the meet up let me know here.

Just booked our hotel, we are staying at the Red Roof Inn. Also just checked the C2E2 website and our booth is P19, come and visit during the show.

My softball team is playing that day(Thursday), but maybe we want to meet at Sheffields. It is near Wrigley and has an amazing beer menu.

Panel pimping: Once again, I (and some of my friends) are taking on Mark Waid in the Silver Age trivia challenge. I'm hoping that, much like when Samson cut his hair, Mark will lose his Silver Age trivia mojo now that he's selling his collection. 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Also, my friend Eric is doing a panel (along with Chris's friend Sal) on superhero origins. Friday at 7:30 p.m. Be there!

This panel was so much fun last year. My brother reads some comics, but virtually nothing written before Watchmen. He had a blast at the panel partly because he had no idea the Silver Age was so wacky. That and the ridiculous vault of knowledge that is Mark Waid's brain. |

Mark Waid is a genius when it comes to Silver Age comics. The only possible rival is Kurt Busiek, but even then, I think if they went head to head, Mark would win. I always feel like the Washington Generals when we take him on. This year, there's four of us against Mark, and even at that, he's probably going to kick our asses. But we're going to give it our best, and maybe this will be the year when we finally topple him. |
