money talks,

looks like fun. The only thing I would change is Prof X's chair. I hated that thing  Tongue

you may want to block out some of the figure areas with blue line. nothing detailed just a faint circle to denote where the figure will lie.

Someone in the ECCC thread (I think, but I'm too lazy to look right now) is doing one of these of the Justice League #1 cover (the Giffen Dematties series).  Looks pretty good so far.

hover chair.  Roll Eyes hover chair.  No

Damn it, they gave Lt Dan magic legs in the 70's or 80's you'd think they could hook Charlie up with something dignified not a smart car prototype

According to the majority of people at my local Wal-Mart moving chairs are way cooler than walking.  Whistle

If you go with the hover chair make sure the artist adds a racing strip and flames to the chair!

 Angry

not my intention. I guess I hang out with Wheels too much. I remember when he started watching Family Guy Joe made him crack up the most. He's the first to make the magic legs comments.

I'm going to hide under a rock now.

I'll check that out.
That's me. I'll be working on it at C2E2, too also.
I've added the complexity of having artists who worked on the characters do their versions (Norton-Blue Beetle, Burnham- Batman, Gleason-Guy)
As for the logistics, I handed Gleason a black sheet of 11x17 and explained what I was looking for. He (lightly) plotted out where the other characters fit in on the page. If you have some art skills, you may want to do this step on your own. Gleason charged $80 or $100, his going rate for busts at the time. More than I usually like to spend, but I think it's important to get a quality guy to start the jam, because the other artists will want to one-up each other. Even Norton winced at what I paid for Guy, and charged me $40. He insisted Burnham get in on it, who charged $40, as well. I'm not hating on Gleason; if the market bears it, go for it.
I gotta say, all the guys were super hyped on the idea. Norton jumped at the chance to do Blue Beetle.
Let's compare notes at the show!

Anyone up for a meet up Wednesday for dinner and drinks?   I would hope it could be somewhere easy to get to via the L since I am at the mercy of mass transit.

Any ideas.   Is there a comic shop downtown where we could meet up?

Bean

I gotta suggest Challengers
http://challengerscomics.com/
It's just northwest of downtown, but right off the blue line western stop. There's a bar across the street, and it's also just a couple blocks from one the hippest (and hipsteriest) neighborhood in the city, Wicker Park. Tons of places to eat and drink.
Not to mention it's a great shop with an original art gallery. And you'll meet the guys Chris is always going on... and on... and on... about.

Sorry for the last minute post, folks. I want to extend 2 Free Sketch offers for the C2E2 attendees.

Details from my blog:
Howdy, Folks! Although I won't be attending C2E2 this year, I am offering 2 different ways for those attending the show to win a Free 8.5"x11" Inked Sketch by me (check out this page for the specifications). To clarify, 2 participating peeps will win a Free Sketch of his/her choice, drawn by me. I will include the shipping also.

HOW TO ENTER: Stop by Steve Bryant's C2E2 Artist Alley Table, located at Artist Alley E13. Once there, I'd encourage each of you to interact with this awesome, super-nice-guy independent creator, check out his wares and maybe even purchase something. At this point there are two different ways you could become the winner of one of the free sketches:

Method 1: Become the Premier Patron of Steve Bryant's C2E2 2012 Con Appearance. Steve will be keeping tally of purchases made with him during the show. Whoever is the biggest financial spender at Steve's table (pre-orders included) for this C2E2 show will be automatically selected for one of the free sketches.

Method 2: Become a Friend of Steve Bryant and his creative endeavors. When you do stop by, talk to Steve and get to know about different properties he is working on, including Athena Voltaire and Ursula Wilde. And then, most importantly, take a photo of you and Steve (hugs & kisses are optional ;-). Then you have 1 week after the show to contact me in one of the many published means of contact (e-mail me, use my contact form, tweet me, message me via Facebook, etc.). The more creative the photo, the more fun it would be for me but will not increase your chance for winning. One random person will be selected to win and receive the free sketch.

That's pretty much it! Have fun at the show folks, and thanks for stopping by Steve's table and showing some much-deserved love for my friend.

I suggest challengers also. Blue line to western toward oHare. I'm helping love them into C2e2 and if we take it one more stop, there's an awesome micro brew that has bacon parm popcorn .
