Finally completed the main quest! I had already completed the Civil War and the Companions chain. Clocked in at 143 hours total. The game does not "end" when you complete the main story, so you cna still run around and do other stuff.
I think I am going to take a break from the game until some DLC comes out. Then i intend to go back and do the Thieves and Brotherhood chains.
Wonderful game. Good times

Ive been running around town to town to town raising my alchemy, enchanting, and smithing. My alchemy is at almost 90. A potion you can make is "Fortify Stamina" that at a high level of alchemy you can sell for 800+. While walking around, i do the muffle shuffle. Keep casting muffle and your illusion levels will raise pretty quickly. I ran in to an Ancient Dragon in Riverwood. It wrecked shop on me, even though my overall level is 45. So ah, watch out for those guys.

Anyone else have this problem? So I invest about 20 or so hours in and my Son asks if he can play his own character. Of course I say sure and then his file overwrites mine. I look online and see this is a glitch with the PS3. Now what do I do? Be a good Dad and let him play the game through...or kick him off my PS3. Anybody know how I can get 2 save files working here...HELP.

I heard a lot of PS3 players are having glitches due to Auto Save being turned on. You'll have to be mindful of saving more often too.

If you set up a separate profile for your son and let him log into that when he plays you won't have to worry about him overwriting your saves on any game.

Finished up the Companions quests tonight... A lot of fun, really enjoy being around that small set of characters. Did a rebel Civil War mission in which FINALLy topped out enchanting at 100. Made a ring and necklace that adds 30% damage to one handers and bows. Fuck. Yes.

Still doing a few Mage College runs. Now like every third time I go to or leave from the college a dragon pops up. It is so frequent I think it might be a glitch. Anyone else seeing this.
Doesn't this game make you want to read an RPG comic? Anyone checking out the D&D comic?

Not sure if this relates to your dragon issue, but I've come to find out if you Fast Travel frequently you're more likely to get lots of dragon encounters.

On Friday I wanted to get some questing done, but that didn't really happen. Ended up just exploring Markarth for the first time, and then working on skills. I took a page from Wood and raised my pickpocketing to 100, as well as my lockpicking. Then I boosted enchanting to about 93. Need a couple more soul gems, and hopefully I'll be topped at 100.
MAYBE today I can finish the Thieves Guild...

I followed your suggestion and turned off autosave and now my son and I both save manually and often. So far it's all good. Thanks and karma too you. Too bad I had to start all over but oh well.

Frustrated. I'm killing dragons like they're pinatas, but then I get to the dungeon mission with Farkas and can't beat three regular Silver Bloods attacking me at once.

It'll be a while before I get there.Starting over and SHARING with my Son is really going to set me back on my playing time. Oh well now we get to bond with comics AND Skyrim. I should be happy about that.....? Yeah, I am.

Hmmm...are you levelling your skills and perks into a small number of specific skills (ie...Archery, One Handed, etc) or spreading them out? I found that once you start commiting to a play style (for me it was Heavy Armour and Two Handed) the outcomes of most battles went to the good guys. Also, tricking yourself out with the best armour and weapons never hurts. And WE KNOW you have the financial resources....

I'm level 29 with steel armor all raised to Superior, most with enchantments. I'm dual wielding the Mace of Balag Mol and a kick ass frost enchanted sword, and yet I'm getting shredded when it's three on one. Just taking too much damage before I can lay these guys to waste.

Steel Plate or Steel? Also improve the perks on Heavy Armor that'll help.
