The Skyrim discussions in the overarching Games thread were awesome, but it occurs to me that enough of us are addicted, er, I mean ENJOYING this massive game that it might be fun to have a Skyrim specific discussion going forward. So here it is. ____________________________ Resource Links:Elder Scrolls Skyrim Wiki (Wikia)Alchemy Planner -- An awesome tool that allows you to input all your items and then it will compute the maximum value (and order of creation) using alchemy.

Thanks for starting the thread!
I'm only a level 5..........now you know. (I want to know what level all of you guys are at.)
Also last night as I was traveling across Skyrim I stumbled into a cave that was filled with Vampires. They were not happy to see me but I did take a sword that was worth a lot.

As with any good support group, let's start with introductions. Hi, my name is Jason, and I'm a Bethesda lover. <Hiiiiiiiiii Jason> Of course, my real name isn't Jason. It's Woodrowdisiac and I'm a Khajiit Warrior who recently escaped from wrongful imprisonment at the hands of some Imperial bastards. Since then I've made my way around befriending people, including Faendal the Elf and Lydia, who "protects" me if you know what I'm sayin Apparently my plans of just rolling around picking people's pockets and learning how to be a better blacksmith have been thrown for a loop because I have this strange ability to absorb the immense power of a dragon into myself. Peeps have started calling me "Dragonborn" and acting like I'm a badass. Some homeboy named Jarl even gave me a title of Thane in his hood and now people pay me mad respect, yo. I think I'm going to get after some more dragons, because the first one has given me STREET CRED like a BAWSE. How bout y'all?

Me = Level 46, 80 hours, rocking some Daedric armor and weapons...
And I still can't get enough. I haven't even finished the main story yet!

I've played this thing a lot over the last month and a half.
My first character was an imperial chick who spurned her countrymen and joined the Stormcloaks, helped put Ulfric in power, and rid the world of the dragon threat. She was 40th level when I abandoned her to create....
...a Khajit Nightingale/Listener for the Brotherhood. He sneaks around and stabs people with Mehrun Dagon's Razor, or puts arrows through their throats from 100 feet away. I'm just about wrapping things up with him and he is also 40th level.

I should also say, my character is a grizzled male Nord, who I tried to make look like Chris Hemsworth from Thor. He uses one-handed, archery, destruction, and sneaking.

Glad you made a thread, I'm all about individual threads on popular subjects... I actually avoid the main games thread because it is full with.. eww... console gamers. I'm loving this game but I feel like I need to start moving in the direction of "the end" so that I can start installing mods and making my own mods. Unfortunately I'm more interested in side plots than the main one. Currently I play a sneaky, "jack of all trades, sucks at life" Breton who is also a vampire. I'm basically "lawful evil" meaning I hunt down thieves and assassins, but do so pretty brutally. BTW does anyone play Fallout 3 or New Vegas on PC? I have some killer radio stations I made, I would be glad to share the mod links here.

Hi, I am Quaridi (a name my 3 year old came up with) a dark elf with some badass facial tattoos and a mohawk. I have only played a tiny bit of Skyrim as I am still kicking some Locust butt in Gears 3 but I have 2 chapters left of the final Act which I hope to crank out tonight and then it will be back to Skyrim for some leveling up goodness. I will be sure to post my exploits in this thread. All the pointers and advice from those of you farther along in the game is priceless. Keep it coming.

The game is so friggin massive. 80 hours in, and I still haven't set foot in Markarth or Falkreath. Haven't finished Thieves Guild. Haven't finished Dark Brotherhood. Haven't started the Civil War. Haven't finished the main quest. I've probably only discovered 2/3 of the total locations in the game.
If you have limited entertainment dollars, there is no better deal than Skyrim.

I'm a Nord Viking muthafugger! Level 27. This game is the serious stuff. I've been playing for a long time and am no where near finishing the main quest, haven't even begun the mage or thieves ones yet.
I keep walking around exploring and finding stuff to do, random folks will ask em for assistance or crazy demon things will make me do their bidding.

I'm a level 6 Dark Elf named Eölin. I had a mind to play for a few minutes last night before bed. Needless to say, I finally made it to bed at about quarter to three. I had to clear out Fort Greymoor. This bastard with a steel battleaxe WOULD NOT DIE. I finally showed his ass! It helped that I figured out that I could just use magic, which was very handy.

I'm a level 24 Argonian (who I co-created with my boy) who looks exactly like the lizard character from Dorohedoro. He's a battle Mage, strong on destructive magic and pretty tasty with a battle-axe. Currently I am working through the thieves guild missions. I haven't played since Christmas started though

This is the first Elder Scrolls game that I've ever played. It took me a little while to figure out the extreme unlinearality of it. The idea that you really can do anything is kind of daunting at first.

I really want to pick a city and just become vile there. I tried with Marakh (sp?) when it transported me there after the drinking contest, but it seems like I"m not yet powerful enough to simply lay waste to droves of guards who come to arrest me. Would love to eventually go back to a town though and become Public Enemy #1 and just ransack everything.

You might want to pick up the Ebony Blade, a sword which grows stronger when you kill people who like you.

You can definitely do that; just know that it'll make it difficult to even travel in that region (hold) because of the bounty you'll rack up. Also, you won't be able to do quests there, which depending on the town, could rule out quite a lot of stuff. There are always going to be a few NPCs around who you can't kill, the "essential" NPCs, so if you make them hostile, they will literally never stop coming for you.
