I was just kidding around with Darrell, which is why I had the silly icons in the SPOILER tag.
Chris -- I presume -- was also kidding, but in a very "Angry Chris" sort of way.

Not joking or angry. CGS runs that show. They have an entire forum dedicated to CGSSS. http://www.thecomicforums.com/forum2/index.php?showforum=223Once again, not angry or snarky. I like those guys. I hope the show returns. Go there and talk about it.

so this is the only forum i frequent/post on, and one of a handful i actually keep up with week to week, and I'm not sure if its just bc im having a bad day, but this statement makes me want to reconsider what i thought this community was about. souring. hell, its not like it was a thread about Peter leaving CGS or something, its about a having 1 less CON people can enjoy. I'm sure no one gave people shit on other forums when lamenting Windy City's absence a couple years back. Let's just not talk about any CONs on the forum then. (mostly me venting)

I can see both sides of this.....on the one hand, this is a forum about 11 O'Clock Comics. On the other hand, this is also a forum about 11 O'Clock Comics, it's listeners and the things that matter to them. There has to be a happy medium here. We're all a family here and there should be room to discuss things that could of importance to everyone.

I know you don't mean it to be harsh, but it still doesn't jive with me. We're talking about the convention, not CGS itself. If that's the case then we shouldn't talk about NYCC or C2E2 on here either because they have a blog or a Facebook or a Twitter. I'll shut up now before someone says I'm taking this personally.

No offense meant to anyone. Seriously.
I just thought if people really wanted to talk about it, this wasn't the best place to get accurate info. CGSSS is different than most conventions. It's a show that's dedicated to a podcast and it's listening family. They have an entire forum for it, and I figure the people that need to know about it either listen to CGS and/or visit that corner of the net.
That's all. Like I've said, it was never anything about any of the guys. I LIKE them.
Sorry if it came off like that.
I'm sure I'll offend people with something else soon.

Ian. I'm NOT trying to be a dick about this. I just wanted people to go to a place where they can get the right information. And like I said, that show isn't really like other comics conventions. And that's not a slight on the show.

There's also the issue that I really don't enjoy the CGS boards much because they're swarming with people who want to have serious arguments about Superman's biceps measurements versus Aquaman's calf size.

Hey Now! You make it sound like it's the comicbookresources boards. I never post there but CGS is a pleasant place to visit.

C'mon guys, kiss and make up Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, right? Chris just expressed his and so did others. It's all good. It's not like he closed the thread, took his ball and went home

Nerd on nerd violence isn`t cool. Plus we already know both those guys have big dicks, so that aspect of the discussion was already tabled...

Well, the "X vs. Y" polls have calmed down a bit and those were half serious anyways. As one who has just joined this message board (CGS's was my first... you could say they popped my geek... something. ) making it my third, I don't really see what you imply. I respect your opinion and know you could have a different experience. How about popping over to see if what you think is still true? The board on a whole has a very pro-creator vibe I feel. Although the weekly NFL thread can get heated with all the smack talk. But thats what the internet is for. Hey Now! You make it sound like it's the comicbookresources boards. I never post there but CGS is a pleasant place to visit. I think so too! Karma my friend..

Such a bizarre thread. Amusing yet I can't shake the eerie feeling of watching my parents argue over something wacky or mundane.

Oh....I pop over periodically (once a week), just seeing if there's anything worth commenting upon or reading what other's think, but I honestly (and this is just me) find the level of discourse to be really low. I find there's a LOT of fanboy chatter which just doesn't interest me at all. And, when there is discussion about the business aspects (which interest me a lot more) I just find the level of discourse to be really low. Lots of loud opinions from people who don't know what they're talking about. And, that's why I hang out here. The folks on this board are just on another level. And, I know there is a LOT of cross pollination, but over there the lowest common denominator kinda drowns out the enlightened.

time out I didnt mean to step on toes or cause a one message board is better than another because all of that is so childish and petty. Supa Show is a comic con that people who dont even listen to CGS or podcasts in general go to because It has one common factor and thats the love of comics. This is not my message board so if i broke a rule I apologize. I enjoy 11 oclock ,CGS,Around Comics, and many other podcasts because I love comics and whether you agree with their opinions or not they all have people on those mic's that love comics too. Every message board has people who are negative and people who are positive. I think of Supa Show as a comic con even though its run by another podcast.Other podcasts have tables there as well so its not just a CGS joint. But again this is not my board im just glad to be able to be a member.

Way to neutral Darrell. This is the internet. You're supposed to get fired up and angry over this, use lots of capitals and swear to leave over shit like this. Haven't you been paying attention to message boards for years. Travis

Most of us are members of a bunch of comic boards. Its ok to like more than one just like we can like indy and mainstream books. And we can like different podcasts too.
