I think I now have seen an ad that's even more poorly thought out than Dr. Pepper 10.

Did DC hire Brevoort over the weekend? I think I now have seen an ad that's even more poorly thought out than Dr. Pepper 10.

It's not a good deal from any angle. At a minimum, it amounts to a four dollar loss on the part of the trader.

Wow. Kind of makes the tearing off of covers stunts look quaint. The "limit one per American citizen" part is the cherry on top that really gets me among the rest of it being you know... just plain 100% fucking wrong.

1. What will they accept as proof of citizenship? 2. I guess it's okay that these American comics contain work by people like Jim Lee, Philip Tan, Cliff Chiang, Francis Manapul, CAFU, Sami Basri...

Doesn't DC have to approve or at least be made aware of any ads featuring their characters?

Per Bleeding Cool, the ad is from a co-op 75% funded by DC.

Now I'm imagining this is more a case of some pencil pusher at DC rubber stamping any and all local ad submissions, and is now exposed as not doing his (rather easy) job.

I can't wait for Marvel-friendly stores to start running the Romneyverse ads, where anyone who has a hardcover can trade it in for a VG- copy of Marvel Age
