I got nothin'.
I know. Think of the fun we can have by putting [insert comicbook title] in place of SpongeBob and Adventure Time.

I need to give wood forum love for his stance on adventure time and Spongebob. when my son watches either show I count the brain cells he's losing by the minute and sincerely wonder if by letting him watch I am increasing his chances of being a future drug user.
I could not disagree more. The sheer creativity of Adventure Time alone CREATES brain cells.

There may be a lot of hate for Crossed, but I'm with you Vince - that seventh issue of Psychopath left me feeling flat. It doesn't feel finished. I loved the series up to issue six and even the first half of issue seven, but then it just ended prematurely. I wanted some resolution somewhere. Even if it ended with the worst possible outcome imaginable I would have preferred that. Ultimately, it felt like Lapham just gave up . Like the publisher told him to "get it done" before the big promotion they've got coming up.

Just started listening and for those wondering, Jamal Warner was recently in Community. Now back to the episode.

You don't need drugs to enjoy Adventure Time. Basically the whole thing is a animated indie comic. And by indie comic I mean the stuff you'd see at APE or SPX and not an Image book or nothing. Real talk you'd lose more brain cells from anything from Seth MacFarlane (or hoever you spell his name) and a bunch of other cartoons on other networks whose writing I feel is weak. Hell Adventure Time has better comedy writing than most live action shows. Saving princesses are absurb matters, ask Mario and Luigi.

Ultimately, it felt like Lapham just gave up . Like the publisher told him to "get it done" before the big promotion they've got coming up. I'm wondering if Lapham initially had something more final planned for Lorre and, after growing more and more fond of writing the character over the course of the seven issues, changed his mind at some point. Harold's a twisted fuck, sure, but I can imagine the character being a hell of a lot of fun to write.

Whoo-hoo! I am glad to have an episode to listen to tomorrow. I spent the day with my mom in the hospital and I need a little joy. Thanks boys for bringing me some smiles. (Keep my mom in your prayers if you do that sort of thing, she's having a very hard go with cancer).
That's terrible to hear. I hope you and your mother well.

As far as the Morituri talk, I can't wait to go bin diving for this collection. Picked up the $1.00 reissue recently, and just like Wood's discussion, it rekindled that Strikeforce lust.

Nope. ChrisS hasn't been around lately and Vince killed his own Facebook account. Trust me, I meant Dan.

that would make an interesting photo of the day. Dan wearing a Vincy B suit rubbing the lotion on its skin or it get the hose again.

I was talking less about adventure time with the drug stuff than Spongebob. Maybe its my limited experience. As a 31 year old with a career and a lot of friends who are in their late 20's early 30's , I notice that a lot of the ones who watch and love Spongebob are the same guys working at burger king and smoking pot all day. Its a show about a sponge who works at a fastfood place. I would also never let my child watch a prime time adult audience cartoon.

So the only Marvel movies Vince has seen are the Iron Man movies, and the only character he believes in the role (in Avengers) is Tony Stark... Jason doesn't like Adventure Time but loves the Regular Show....

I pains me to hear all the top talent on the Spongebob books because while I respect the creators, I have no affinity for ol SB. I've never seen the show so there's no nostalgia there for me. I did read #1-2 and while good I think that you need a cemented history with the property to properly enjoy the book.
Now if we can get the same talents on a quarterly anthology doing their own thing I'd buy that up quick-like.
Looking forward to reading Adventure Time. I've seen a handful of episodes, so I'll probably be a little more receptive to it than I was to Spongebob
