I'm baffled ( maybe I'm confused or ignorant) at how over and over again I keep hearing politicians tell me that Situation X in the Middle East is causing oil/gas prices to rise yet I learned years ago that most of the oil/gas we use in the US comes from Canada. the Tiki That's not really true my Bostonian Brother. Canada is by far our largest source of oil, but OPEC in total outstrips Canada by itself. http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_move_impcus_a2_nus_ep00_im0_mbbl_m.htm

get over the fear Alan. we're here for you How do you get me over the fear of dying in a horrific & fiery plane crash with dozens of women & children screaming their final breaths in horror all around me ? Crash me in a series of smaller planes until I'm gradually desensitized?

I'm not about to out anyone, but it's baffling how the same people enter the wrong password on a daily basis - sometimes on the same day - according to the forum's error log that I have to empty and delete before it gets too big.

I get what you mean though. If it's a minor thing then complain away but if you hate your job way more than you like it then leave. Sure, the money might be nice but what good is that gonna do to you if you just drop dead from a heart attack or stroke because of your overwhelming hate for your job? Life's too short to be stuck doing something you despise.
Sometimes it ain't that easy. Some of us 1 are risk averse and don't feel comfortable living without health insurance and some small amount of money in reserve. Some of us have painted ourselves into a corner where there might not be that many great choices. We made our bed and will lay down in it but we also want to complain about it as well. We know we are lucky to have a job that pays enough to be comfortable but . . .
http://www.youtube.com/v/MKIaS0lh-uo&rel=1 1Clearly I mean me, but it seems classier and more comforting to pretend there are others like me out there.

i'll admit, i've had to do the multiple guess/reset a few times when i've tried to login from my phone or another computer, but it's rare. every day? you'd think they'd eventually come up with something easy to remember.

Yeah. And then I'm thinking maybe they're hitting the wrong keys. But I'd think eventually you'd form a pattern, get into a routine and enter it correctly.

On the main page, my password never works, but from the error re-try it works just fine. I've given up & just log into the error retry one.

Nope. I don't do that. The computers I use aren't actually mine. My opinion is inconsistent enough w/o others posting on my account.

Or telling it to keep you logged on forever. My home computer/phone/iPad remembers my password but I don't do it at work. But I just set it to log me in forever or whatever the setting is and I never have to enter my password again.

We know we are lucky to have a job that pays enough to be comfortable but . . . 1Clearly I mean me, but it seems classier and more comforting to pretend there are others like me out there. I totally understand. Life is rarely simple and straightforward after all. And I'm not against all complaining (you follow me on twitter so you know how much I complain) since it can be a useful outlet. I'm talking about people who feel like their job is a cancer. I found myself in that position a few years back. I would sometimes think about how awesome it would be to get hit by a bus just so I wouldn't have to come in to work. I also don't feel comfortable without some money in reserve but when I start considering death just to get out of work, time to call it quits. If you're able to have a nice life despite a crappy job then more power to you. You're one of the coolest and kindest dudes I know so I can't imagine that your job is bad enough to destroy you. Or maybe you're just strong enough to be able to deal with it whereas I wasn't. Not as wise back then, didn't have friends that would say the right words at the right time like I do now, that sort of thing

Famous filmmaker was in my restaurant last night. He lost his iPhone and assumed it was there. No one found a cell phone. Filmmaker was furious at Manager because he felt it was the server's responsibility to find it AND he didn't follow though on "fictitious responsibility". Can you say misdirected anger/responsibility. I'm Baffled. the Tiki
