Hello everybody. As is per usual it is our nature to condemn preview images and fight change. While I am aware that there is a Positivity thread and New Releases boughts & thoughts thread. I think we can override some of the negative "aw, crap I'm back at work and I gotta bitch about a book that I'm never gonna purchase" mentality. I'm hoping that once a week, and I'll do the updating the week on the thread headline. Let's just give a little shout about the things that we are looking forward to or things that we enjoyed. I'll start. 1. DC Nation Block on Cartoon Network. I recorded it but sadly when I set Green Lantern to record I had it on "only new episodes" and it didn't record. Oh well, good thing that I saw the episode already.  Gonna check out YJ later this week. Most excited aboiut the shorts 2. I'm getting a shipment of AdHouse books today!! huzzah! 3. Catching up on reading John Constatine Hellblazer last night and I almost squeeled when I saw (minor spoiler) show up! how about you guys/gals? What are you looking forward to or what has floated your boat so far? |

1. MANHATTAN PROJECTS - this is a big one for me. i love hickman's creator owned work and the premise of this just sounds awesome. can't wait.
2. John Carter - i think andrew stanton is a fantastic film maker and i really look forward to his first step into live action.
3. 3 Paradoxes by Paul Horschemeier - i recently just read this and really enjoyed it. his style of cartooning and ability to switch up and emulate different styles was really impressive, i will definitely check out some more of his stuff.

Wally Wood Artist's Edition
I read the first few stories this weekend, but great googly moogly this book is begging to be poured over.
Justice League: Doom
I love these animated movies, I own every one. I really enjoyed this movie and have already watched through all the special features as well. I really liked their depictions Batman and Flash in this.
Personal Projects
I began work on an illustrated prose piece earlier this year, this is the first week I've began turning the spine into an actual novel. I'm also excited about illustrating a book instead of making this a comic. I'll be able to spend a lot more time with each picture, and not worry about lettering or panel progression.

- Finding out today before 5 (supposedly) if me and my long time girlfriend got the apartment we really wanted.
- Had an interview today at 2:00 with the company I currently work for about getting a promotion and moving to a different department. Really have my fingers crossed as it would be a big move for me. The supervisor let me know that she interviewed 2 people plus me today and she will interview two more tomorrow. I really don't know where I stand on the pecking order. Trying to stay positive!!
