Backissue magazine did a Greatest Stories Never Told feature on a Fallen Angels 2 series that never saw print. I wish it had, it sounded bonkers!

Thanks for the link Wood. Devil Dinosaur chillin' with Moon Boy watching MTV... how did it not come out! Sad to think of the number of artists that must have had similar experiences with work they spent years on that never saw the light of day...

Got to wait for work to finish before I can listen, but I'm hyped for Flex Mentallo!

Props for the 2000 ad talk. Those Case Files and Search and Destroy files are major value for money. Oh and Dave Stokes is my artist Man-crush. Hearts

There was a connection, yes.  Characters from the book showed up to investigate The Next Men I believe.

Folks! I am le new to posting here. Been listening a while though.

Regarding the Valiant relaunch (which is near and dear to my heart), it seems to me from the folks at Valiant that I've talked to, that they are putting as much, if not more, effort into making good books as they are into marketing and gimmicks. I think they just want to make a splash so that people will notice.

I really hope it's good. I'm optimistic.

Anyway, cheerio.

One Wave hi BadDeacon  One Wave

I'm giving all Valiant stuff the benefit of the doubt and I will check it out when it comes out. Not caring at all about the talking cover gimmick though

Welcome aboard!  You are a long-time fixture over at the CGS forums, and IIRC, you are a terrific photographer, particularly when it comes to capturing the beauty of the lovely ladies. Am I right?

It's actually Ralph (Atomic99) that is the fantastic photographer. My photography skills consist of point-click, with varyingly bad results Wink

I'm with Chris in the Comics Confessional: I've never read Flex Mentallo.  Although like Vince I ordered the collection and look forward to finally remedying my error.

Hearing you guys talk about it being a comics realization of the old "wimp to champ" beach ads, reminded me of the Strange Talents of Luther Strode -- a mini going on at Image right now. That's the same premise, what if a geeky kid woke up and was a super strong killing machine? Granted, I am betting Morrison and Quitely's book is a lot more meta and esoteric, whereas Strode is a straightforward action story.

Which I suppose is very similar to Major Bummer, where a twerpy-lookin' dude gets zapped by alien rays and ends up built like a brick shithouse able to toss buses over his head with one hand.

i've also never read flex, due to the astronomical prices of the singles that vince mentioned, and the upcoming collection (that is finally supposed to be coming out next month) that has been rumored to be coming out for a few years now.  so i always figured i'd just wait and grab the collection, it's been on my amazon wishlist for almost a year.
