I'm thinking both'll be doing both. Samnee's first Daredevil is #12, but #13 is penciled by Khoi Pham. And the Rocketeer is a four-issue mini.

i think it's simultaneously great and also too bad that samnee is all over the place these days. it's great he's in such high demand, and any samnee is good samnee, but we can't seem to get a significant number of issues in a row out of him for any given project. i want him to plant down on a great book and stay there for a while, so in a few years we can look back and say "damn, remember the 2 year run of book x by samnee and writer y." instead, we're left with "jesus, you remember the 3 issues of cap and bucky?!" or "he did a great 2 issues on ultimate spider-man." Thor: TMA is the closest we've gotten, and that didn't even last a year.

As a huge Rocketeer fan I've always dreaded this day but this team has me pretty amped up. But Samnee better start selling his fricking artwork. Travis

....Not saying anything.... David knows what I'm talking about. But, does this mean that Chris is no longer Marvel-exclusive? I'll be buying this Rocketeer mini for SURE, but after this.....if he keeps hanging around IDW......put the man on GI Joe so the art can catch up with the story.

Glad to see Samnee on Rocketeer. I agree, the man needs to get put on a series for a while.

But, does this mean that Chris is no longer Marvel-exclusive?
Not necessarily. More often than not, Big 2 exclusives seem to mean the creator can't work with the other's main competitor (with Samnee that'd be DC). Or, like in the case of Perez on JLA/Avengers, an exception is made based on something that existed before the creator signed the Big 2 contract.

i might be wrong, but i seem to remember chris saying on a podcast that he wasn't actually marvel exclusive, he just happened to be doing most of his work for marvel these days.

That's cool. I'd just wondered.
