When I think of Man-Thing, I think of the the ad for or cover of Micronauts #7, or Power Records.

What depiction is your Man-Thing?

The two examples you posted are more or less how I picture Man-Thing, although I've always liked seeing different interpretations of him. Here are a few more that represent "my Man-Thing" :

Ploog's take can be seen on that last cover and that's pretty definitive for me.

I had decided to trade wait on this but when I saw issue #1 at the comic shop (with that gorgeous Art Adams cover), I said, "Who are you kidding?" and bought it without hesitation. Nowlan's take on Man-Thing isn't to my liking but it's still drawn well his art on the rest of the book is excellent. It's great to read "new" Steve Gerber  too. I can't wait for issue #2 and since it took me so long to get #1, I won't have to wait long. Smiley

Who else picked this up? Any thoughts?

I read this a while back…but it's been sitting at the top of my regina-just because the Art Adams cover is so sweet.   Rock Horns

And Steve Gerber…what can you say…the guy had some bronze age balls.
