Hey all,
Are you based in the UK and like me, love the podcast, but just hate hearing about the 'Womba' discounts from the wonderful sponsor across the pond?
I thought I would set up a thread on potential discounts in UK based stores. I will update as many as I can find, but please feel free to post any you may come across.
I'm going to start off with the Pre-order of Hickman's second Volume of SHIELD. the HC is due out in November and can be pre-ordered for less than a tenner at Amazon UK. I've ordered mine!
i'll also post the forbidden planets weekly 40% off's, This week's were the Marvel Zomnibus, the Invisibles Omnibus, Witchblade Compendium 3, Alice in the country of clover and the Hector Umbra HC. And I think they still have the Morrison Batman and Robin Absolute for 40% off as well.
I've got my fingers crossed for a 40% off the Born Again Artist Edition.
more posts to come.

There not quite the wumba discounts but I did use them before going mostly digital for singles and the discounts are good if you preorder. Not so much on trades but if your buying singles and dont mind waiting until the end of the month for you books, its not a bad option. I used them and never had any problmes with them http://www.86thfloor.com/

This thread is a great idea. Living in the UK it's always hard to find the discounts our friends in the states get. Thanks for starting it.

Thebookdepository.co.uk has an additional 10% off everything just got American barbarian for 10 euro Some good deals on the site but you need to know what you are looking for cause it's not overly user friendly

Hey all,
The Forbidden Planet specials this week:
DC: 100 Bullets Deluxe Edition Book 3 Hardcover £22.99 (£37.99) currently on Amazon UK for £27.91 Marvel: Man-Thing Omnibus Brunner Cover Hardcover £57.00 (£95.00) Indie: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 Volume 2 Hardcover £13.50 (£22.50) Manga: Cardcaptor Sakura Omnibus Book 4 £8.99 (£14.99) Choice of the week: Harvey Pekar's Cleveland Hardcover £9.90 (£16.50)
Also, there's an amazing discount on the AvX HC on Amazon.com. with shipping the cost in pounds is just under £30 for an oversized HC retailing at 75$, 528 pages. I've pre-ordered my copy, will cancel it if the UK prices are better, but it has'nt shown up on the UK site yet. (correction: now on the site with a price of £42.06 (retail 46.00). I'm sure the discount will be higher nearer the release in November)
I've also been told that 'The Works' chain of stores are carrying some Marvel HC's at very reasonable rates, if you're near one, go check it out.

The Works chain have some comic related stuff at the moment (the DC and Marvel history books for about £13 each, a few Captain America trades and some two packs of, mostly, 90s comics for 99p each.
The two books are well worth the money if you don't have them already!
