reed Gunther is fun. Atomic Robo too.
I like Chew and Skullkickers as fun comics, although a little more edgy than the all ages fun of the previous two
I jumped in here to type REED GUNTHER, so I'll second that and ATOMIC ROBO. THOR: THE MIGHTY AVENGER always worked too. In that same vein, seek out its intended companion book CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIGHTING AVENGER...similar tone, fun, clean, "cartoony" art. It came out as an oversized one-shot instead of ever getting a shot as a monthly. It's a damn shame we never got more of those two or a chance to see what that group's Iron Man or Hulk books would have been like.

Elektra Assassin Bonkers, most 80s comic ever with such a perfect final note that I can read it over and over again.

No real surprise to those of you that have come to know me, but Mage: The Hero Discovered is a joy to read every time I revisit it. Byrne/Clearmont X-Men, Wolfman/Perez New Teen Titans, Simonson Thor. These all make me happy.

And I also want to give you some encouragement! Go out with your friends, try to take your mind off things, and read some awesome comics like the ones mentioned on this thread. Another title I really love and makes me happy every time I read it is Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. It's Dawson's Creek plus Spider-Man, and the art is just fantastic.
Great suggestions, both in terms of activity and reading. We've all been there at one time or another, and even though it can get really dark, things will get better eventually. In the meantime, try to remember that there are lots of people around you who care. In terms of comic suggestions, I'll second Bone and Beanworld, and add the new Donald Duck: Lost in the Andes and the Mickey Mouse strip collections from Fantagraphics, Lewis Trondheim's The Spiffy Adventures of McConey, Michael Kupperman's Tales Designed to Thrizzle, and finally The Simpsons comics Hang in there, mate!

Jeppe stole this from me from the future: Carl Bark's Donald Duck work is whimsical, funny, and just plain fun. It's great because the stories aren't too long, but always engrossing. Fantagraphics is putting out some beautiful, affordable hardcovers collecting his work. I'm looking to collect them all as they come out.
If you have a sense of humor anything like Vince's, Savage Dragon is a great feel good read. Giant, fun action with just enough potty humor to make me giggle every issue. The puns alone are gold. I mean, Warren Terror? Heavy Flo? Raging Woody? The Human-Sparkler? Giant Radioactive Resurrected Osama Bin Laden? Makes me feel good every time.
Skullkickers is great too. Great mix of funny with fantasy. I always feel good after reading an issue.

I'd agree with Showcase Presents Ambush Bug. It taught me that sometimes, comics are better than girls.

I'm getting chocked up reading through all of your responses. In addition to some great comic recommendations I'm going to check out the support here is just unbelievable. DoctorTeeth, I can't imagine what you went through but thank you for sharing, as much as I know I'm not the first person to get dumped, it does help to be reminded that others have gone through this and survived. It still hurts like a motherfucker right now but I will get through this. And to everyone else who's sharing and posting, thank you, this really is the best community on the web and if I run into any of you at a con the first rounds on me.
Time to go pick up some fun comics and try and put a smile back on my face. And of course additional suggestions are welcomed.
Sincerely, thank you all.

I was also going to chime in with Reed Gunther and Atomic Robo, and I also just think Hellboy is so damned good it makes me feel happy. Maybe The Amazing Screw-On Head is more directly funny.
I also get a great, amazing feeling from Calvin and Hobbes, and have to re-read my omnibus.
In webcomic form, I'd go with Menage a 3 and Oglaf, for quicker laughs (and sexy-time fun, if it's not too soon.
