You could just leave off the year and let it organically roll on through the years. The Tiki

the next five years are going to be very interesting in mlb. once the new luxury tax comes in, it basically gives baseball a salary cap. just look at the how the yankees and red sox didn't spend this off season and tried to shed $$$. sox and yankees are looking for luxury tax rebates while angels and other teams are cashing in on cable deals.

Pujols hits his first homer of the year today...against my Jays!!! Does he start to hit now? I hope not; he ain't on any of my fantasy teams. And when is Jose Bautista gonna start hitting...damn.

And when is Jose Bautista gonna start hitting...damn. I have him, Mark Teixeira and Hanley Ramirez, and they're all off to painfully slow starts. I keep hoping that I'm seeing signs of life. Supposedly, the advance metrics on Bautista are good this year (career high line drive rate, contact rate is up, etc.) so he should start getting better results eventually.

So are the Athletics/Wolff that opposed to moving to downtown Oakland? Sounds like a reasonable option.

Oakland won't/can't support it. They talked about the Jack London Square venture for a while…but that fell through. Wolff wants San Jose and the Giants won't budge. It's a cycle that has gone on a long time now…way too long.

Too bad the Giants or another club doesn't lend their stadium for A's games then the Athletics could build on the same site. This same discussion has been mentioned for the Cubs. They would share the Sox's site and Milwaukee's as a new Wrigley was being built.

HA! Not saying it will, and I know I wouldn't like it, but the idea has been bandied about.

It's amazing how being a fan for life means life only extends back to 2010 for the majority of Giants fans I come across. Inter Leauge weekends can be insufferable in this town for the Green and Gold faithful.

I know folks are a bit distracted with this thing called "football" and "fantasy", but I have been excited by the number of races this season due to the extra wild card spot.
Plus when you consider teams like the Orioles, the Nationals, and A's are a part of the play-off scheme, it all makes for very exciting baseball.
Heck, even my lowly Brewers have a shot at the second wild card spot due to their recent excellent play.
All in all, my interest is a keen as ever with the number of consequences and play-off implications.
