Hey all, I'm new to this forum so I thought I would jump right in and post some of my art! Sure are a lot of talented folks here, so hopefully I don't look TOO bad. Luther Strode PinUp Kiss Vs. Captain America (Apologies to Mr. Zeck) Some Random Sketch Cards Some more randomness.. And finally (for now), my gift to Vince B. @ C2E2 this year... Hope you all dig it! Throwing some samples from a project that i'm trying to finish. It may get put aside, but the first chapter is almost done so I figured I might as well finish that at the very least. |

Here's my piece for this weeks Challengers ASSEMBLE! Art blog: The theme was simply FIGHT! I guess I can say I was a bit inspired by another thread on the forum for this one. I am about 85% happy with this. One of the figures needed more foundation work before I started inking but I had to cut out a good portion of details to meet the deadline ( I ink soooo slowly) so I might go back and add some more stuff and maybe some marker tones to it. Details: 11x17 Canson Comic Board, Pencil + Kuretake brush pen, 2 hrs 30min (approx) over 3 days. Thanks for lookin'! That Batman redesign looks awesome but I really like that Marvel/DC royal rumble pic. Great stuff. Also liked the Spidey/ Daredevil lunch time sketch.

Holy Smokes! I had no idea Don was an artist, too! Who is the last character in the first post? (has "pantry" in the background)...I really like his design. I get a strong Juan Jose Ryp vibe from your lines..keep it up!  Ryp? Interesting, I never know what influences show in my stuff but that's pretty damn nice of you to say that! The Character is a vigilante from an aborted project. I'll reuse him someday. I'm glad you like the design, it's made up of a lot of modified real life items. Really wanna tell his story some day. You know, taking another pass through here, I'm thinking about your 2013 thread and I'm surprised by the frustration you were feeling before. You have so much to be proud of here! And you've come so far, just since April! Keep it up, Don. I think you're gonna hear some good things at C2E2 reviews. |
