While we're on the subject, did Sim ever publish collections of the Cerebus lettercols? I think the reader correspondence and his reactions to same were an integral part of the Cerebus experience. One of the few comics where the side dishes were as enjoyable as the main course.
He published 2 volumes of them, as a matter of fact (I have them both): Collected Letters 2004 - ISBN: 091935923X http://www.lookupisbn.com/index.php?detail=091935923XCollected Letters Volume 2 - ISBN: 0919359248 http://www.lookupisbn.com/index.php?detail=0919359248

This sounds like an awesome challenge. Unfortunately I only have up until volume 11. I supposed if I can get through the first 11 I'll have time to save up for the last 5.
There are only 16 volumes, right?

Yep. The whole idea is that we start as a group from page 1 and enjoy together.

Inspiration, for those not yet on board. That is a well read collection! Hats off to you Sir. I'd love to hear Vince talk about this on the show. I've been thinking about re-reading these for ages and this would be the perfect excuse, especially since I only got up to issue 200 last time.

I've read through the 12th volume but am too cheap to buy them full price. Cerebus trades are always my goal to find in the half price bins at cons. Sadly there wasn't one volume to be found at ECCC this year. I'll find them sometime.

The entire series is in my Regina Pile. I've only read about 1/4 of it. I'm debating jumping aboard this challenge.

So...if we do this as a group...what kind of commitment are we talking about per week? month? I might actually be up for this one.

Fuck it, I'm game. I need to read more often and go out less anyhow. Trying to learn how to be an old man.

It'll cost me $210 for the whole run. I'm so tempted.

I have the first two phonebooks; I'm in for at least those two. If I like what I'm reading, I'll happily continue.

Even though I am enjoying my 10th anniversary of being wedded to my wonderful wife, I never ask for any hard commitments. Read what you can, when you can...
...and to be complete, I guess I need vol 16. just grabbed it from e'bay.

I would be on this so hard if I wasn't doing the 999 Challenge.
However, I know my library has most of these volumes available, so I might have to jump in if I can take down a good portion of my Regina. When were you all thinking of starting?

I'd be all over this if it wasn't for the 999 Challenge. I've got volume 2 on my list for that effort. I've been reading volume 1 over the past year, just picking it up whenever the mood strikes me. Some of that is a re-read from years ago and I've always wanted to read the later stuff. Got tons of singles sitting waiting to be read too.

I just ordered the entire collection. I really can't buy any more comics for awhile. This should be awesome though.
