Yes, you can. In fact, Tom's summation of the events of the issue are far more enjoyable a read than the actual comic. RESIST! I'm talking in FUTURE issues Vince. lol Y'know, next month? #5 and so on? Seriously, Idk why I didn't check SUBMIT. There were LOTS of copies at the mall lcs i went to.

Submit is definitely not essential to the story. The pacing is WAY different from Final Crisis, and the art is wonky in places. Overall I did enjoy it but it is much more of an action movie sequence.
That said I did enjoy Tattooed Man's story arc.

I'm gonna bet there will still be a lot of copies available next week, too. Submit's a cheapie box book, at best. By a Star Wars comic, instead.

Did any one else find it unnecessary for FC:Submit to be a #1 rather than being in the FC proper? Rather than skipping a month, they could have made Submit be FC 4 last month. I do want to say both were good issues. And I enjoyed Barry and Iris' kiss. What has helped me understand anything Morrison writes is to have a big stash of KY and cover my head with it since I know that I am going to be MindF***ed after reading it Peace out! Jonathan

The vindication storyline is a smorgasbord of awesomeness, and I'm reading the first trade of KOTOR. Back to the topic- It was cool seeing the Flashes taking down the Furies.

Not much about FC #4 in this episode, sorry. Slack...er...David hadn't read the issue at the time of recording. Plus, I held off on the Star Wars love, too. I would hate to sound more like a broken record than I already do... Once Vector wraps, though, all bets are OFF. Ima go Star Wars CRAY-ZEE!

* Beautiful visuals, all around, but I've got to give Pacheco the MVP for this issue.
I actually thought Pacheco's art in this was a bit underwhelming. JG Jones had all these great pages that were filled with detail and interesting perspectives, and Pacheco's pages I found were more standard in comparison. Compare the Pacheco drawn scenes in the Hall of Justice (Is it the called hall of justice? I never saw Superfriends before...) to the JG Jones drawn scenes in Bludhaven where Kalabak is shown. They pretty much have the same content (a bunch of people talking) but Jones drew it a lot more dynamic IMO. Flicking through it again though, the Alan Scott scene turned out real well though. Oh, and my random point; I shouted with glee twice while reading this book: 1 - When the Wizz Wagon showed up with Mr Miracle in it. 2 - When the Great 10 were shown to be Watchtower 6. I loooooved the Great 10!

I'm curious to see how Geoff Johns spins Morrison's goofball shit into the Return of Barry Allen proper.
Anyone else have a sense at times that when you're reading the book, we're missing panels from the story? I'm used to the whole concept of "action between panels" when reading comics, but even with things like the opening sequence at the Hall of Justice, it seemed like Ray was making reference to saving Tatooed Man but we didn't see it happen.
Because its Morrison, I figure it'll make more sense in the end, but it still takes me out of the story at times.
there was a interview where morrison said that he did that purposely to make it feel like it was actually happening because when were in a high energy situation we dont know everything thats going on, so it makes it more chaotic.

I thought Pacheco dumbed down his visuals a bit in order to match up better with Jones; IMHO, Pacheco could've done sooo much more with his artwork in this issue.

It could be that. His work on Superman from a couple of years ago was amazing.

I was gonna say the same. I remember the Superman/Batman and GL work, and he's cleaner and tighter on those inks compared to JG.
