Being both a historian and an enormous Tardi fan, I really enjoyed listening to you guys talk about It Was the War of the Trenches and World War I And I'll second Chris' recommendation of The Artic Marauder - it is awesome, funny, and beautiful!

great episode. best in awhile in my opinion. I loved the indy/foreign comic talk. I added a few books to my wishlist from the podcast. I have read Tardi's Trenches book. Amazing book, but supremely depressing.

Hey Chris, good on the beer in cans info. The technology has advanced in the last few years and there is definitely a difference in the same beer being bottled vs. canned. Either way, in the end they should both be poured into a glass for drinking anyway. (Hi, I'm a beer snob ). Dogfish Head is also one of my favorite breweries but that Tweason Ale is unbearable for me. Definitely one of their misses IMHO. My wife has been gluten free for 6 or 7 years now due to an allergy / sensitivity. Which means we have been scouring the shelves for GF beer and have tried a lot. So far the best we have found is called "Greens" and is bottled in Belgium and shipped out of England I believe. The best of that brand is the "Blonde", then the "Double Dark" then the "Amber" (again IMHO). They have others but so far have not made it out to us on the west coast. Here's their website: https://www.glutenfreebeers.co.uk/ and a photo of the above mentioned: Not sure what your diet calls for but since my wife has to stay clear of gluten, her choices are wine, GF beer and cider. OK soapbox done. Thanks for humoring me.

The ghosties with the mosties! Vince, the key to pronouncing a lot of Filipino names is to break it up into syllables and give equal emphasis to each one. Like with Carlo Pagulayan, it's "pa - gu - la - yan". Or with Gerry Alanguilan, it's "a - lang - gui - lan". Not busting balls, just edumacating Too bad everyone can't have a last name like Leinil

If you put out Stumptown in issues again for vol. 2 I will buy it. And yes I will even double dip on the series because I enjoy it so much.
