THIS  Yes I'm feeling snarky today as everyone in SDCC is reminding me of all the fun we might be missing.  Shifty Eyes

Hey, you and the rest of the "11 O'Clock East Coast Mafia" have NYCC.......

That said, I have an invite to the press-only Stan Lee / Boom! Studio panel  at 5pm today....I'm looking forward to hearing what the announcement it (plus I just love to hear Stan talk.....)   I'm recording the panel & we should have it up on Friday.

BTW, re: Daytripper, so this is not a total thread hijack....

I personally LOVE Daytripper, but I could easily see someone NOT liking it.  For instance, my 19 year old son does not care for it at all.   So, I'd say "It's great if you like that sort of thing"

Ah! An invitation to the Generalissimo's presser. Looking forward to seeing what Stan the Man has to say. I've still never shook the man's hand. And that makes me Sad

Well I read Fabio Moon & Gabriel Ba's Daytripper from Vertigo & to say the least it was memorable & breathtaking.   The art soaked you in w/ each chapter getting stranger & stranger discussing the meaning of life, the last chapter of life, death.  Yes, the subject is taboo to say the least but if you stick w/ this book.  The reader will be rewarded with the knowledge that life is about choices & what happens to the main character in the book.  The only things that comes even close is Essex County Trilogy by Jeff Lemire & Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons' Watchmen.  So if you want to get out from the usual in your normal comic reading routine give Daytripper by Fabio Moon & Gabriel Ba a chance.  You can't go wrong.  5 stars all the way just be sure to bring some tissues.

Thanks for everyone's opinions on the book.

I'm thinking that it probably also strikes a special chord with Father's Day coming up.

Really good point. This book really resonates. It is a combination of what is and what might have been. I actually choked up in a few spots.
