Wait a minute, Brubaker is an ARCHITECT. He's a made man, like Billy Batts. He can't be removed without the consent of the five families!

Bummer, I loved Brubaker's Cap, for the last couple years it's been the first book I read each month.  That being said I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

Yeah....don't they need to nominate a NEW architect?  It's like the Sith and how there are ALWAYS 2.  There are ALWAYS 5 architects.

Remender can easily slip in there.

the kirkman manifesto wasn't widely mocked. it was polarizing.

if brubaker writes a good book ill read it, if it sucks i won't. i don't care where its from or who gets payed. it just entertainment.

sometimes i wonder if kirby's legacy is the thousands of characters he's created or the thousands of amateur publishing forensic accountants he's created.

I don't think it was the message of the Kirkman manifesto that was wildly mocked, it was the presentation. It was a bigger and uncomfortable looking sweaty guy in front of a green screen, if he was saying "I am going to give you all the beer in the world for free because I can" it still would have been made fun of.

Ed Brubaker's run on Captain America will always be one of my personal favorites....particularly the work that is collected in the first omnibus.  I know that it was widely believed that it fell off, but other than the Cap Reborn mini, I always found it very enjoyable.

That being said, I think after almost 8 years, it's probably time for him to step away.  A move to more creator owned books is VERY welcome from my point of view, as that's one less Big 2 book I'll have to buy each month! Like many others in this thread, I also am anxious to see what comes next from Ed!
