It's on the new Previews and written by Matt Wagner and art by Simon Bisley . http://simonbisleygallery.com/?bisley=home.image&picid=103&cara=1$7.99 retail for 72 pages. $4.39 through DCBS Bob Schreck: Basically, the concept is that there’s a supernatural bounty hunter called John Tower who’s very picky and choosy about who he takes on as a client. He helps them with their supernatural dilemmas and problems. Things that cannot be explained are making their lives a living nightmare, and they reach out to him to find out how to stop it. I'm in. http://www.nerdist.com/2012/04/c2e2-exclusive-interview-with-legendary-comics-bob-schreck/

I'm totally in. Wagner does love his trilogies, hopefully this one comes about quicker.

Sweet, Wagner always delivers quality. I've really enjoyed the Green Hornet year one stuff and his work on lone ranger and zoro modern works. I'm in for creator owned.

These guys have had a big con so far with a date on this too. Paul Pope (BATMAN: YEAR 100, HEAVY LIQUID) brings us a new take on one of his classic works. The highly acclaimed One Trick Rip-Off will be reissued in color for the first time and will contain almost 200 pages of additional rare and never-before-published Paul Pope stories.. The One Trick Rip-Off Reissue is a must have for cult followers and new fans alike. In stores Fall 2012. Is coming out in November. Which is exciting and crazy that this company whom you assume is an IP farm is doing properties that in no way seem translatable. (Holy Terror, Pope) I mean Bob Shrek knows what is what in comics.

If you haven't read the preview for free on comixology jump on it. Bisley's art is great and I like the story. I was on it because I'm a big fan of Matt Wagner but I am definitely on board now after reading those 1st pages.

I read the first volume of the Tower Chronicles and loved it.
Matt Wagner did a great introducing John Tower and the supporting characters within the story. In addition, Simon Bisley's art was fantastic and a perfect fit for the story Wagner was telling. The format is a plus; 72 pages bi-monthly paperback for $7.99 retail.
Anyone who loves horror stories should check this out.

It's an on-going series?

Thanks. That is an interesting experiment with the format. I guess i need to get it - I've been curious because of the Bisley art.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll see if my LCS can order a copy for me. I've been snagging Bisley's Four Horsemen from Heavy Metal. You can tell it was supposed to be a video game, but I don't mind since I need more Bisley in my life.

I enjoyed the first issue. It is a little steep on price but you get pages. It got me roped in so I am in for the next issue.

I just read it and it is was real good. You can't go wrong with Wagner and I like the idea of 4 trades instead of sigle issues.

Enjoyed the first issue/trade and am looking forward to the second one. Its been a while since I have seen Bisley's artwork and enjoyed the bold imagery that he always brings to the page. Liked the start of the mystery of the main character's background that Wagner added to Tower. The only thing that I was disappointed with is that it had to end. Also was surprised to see the cover by Jim Lee, would have figured he was super exclusive with DC.

You should check Hellblazer! He has done amazing pencil art on the book, one-shots or two-parters between the archs drawn by Camuncoli, who is a brilliant artist, too. The stories are very good, too. As are the covers by Bisley!

Hellblazer is a series that I use to get and then fell off. The last time I read it on a regular basis was when Andy Diggle was the writer. I really like the character and enjoyed the book but for me it was one of those books that would read better in chunks rather than bites. Alas I just have never gotten back on board, I was waiting for the current writer to finish his run and jump back on for the next one. I might have to check those issues out.

Just read this, wow, what a great book! Bisley did an absolutely fantastic job on the art, and the stories were really good too. It was worth the price because you got so much content.

I concur with Wormworth. The current Hellblazer run is amazing. While I get it in trade, I pre-order every trade so that I get it as soon as it comes out. Just read this, wow, what a great book!

I think this is Bisley's best work in years. That includes the previous mentioned Hellblazer issues that he has drawn. The more I think about it, the more realized that I really loved this book. And the format is great. I wouldn't mind more publishers going to this format or at least trying it out.
