Quality time with the missus ate up my weekend. Sorry Farrell Spidey would drive most of the Gotham villains batshit insane. They're already unstable MF-ers, Spidey would push them over the edge. He doesn't have to beat them physically. A bunch of them would either give up robbing banks or kill themselves. On the other hand, most of the not so super powered NYC villains would just quit if Batman came after them. A spider, yeah sure thing, it might be a bit of a challenge. But who wants to dick around with a giant ass bat? Fuck. That. Shit.

Back to Batman and specifically Killer Croc. Has there ever been a style guide for the character? I mean he always looks different in design and even occasional coloring differences.

I've been reading a lot of great Ditko Charltons lately. I need to track that one down.

First ... Thanks Chris for your shout-out to Pulp Fiction. That's where I shop. It's a great store, great people. Next: Farscape.
Oh, yeah! One of the best series ever made! Favorite albums: Meddle and Animals.
Oh, yeah! 100% agreement. She was a GREAT kid vampire! Just never bought that she was the uber-hot Mary Jane. No..not that bill of goods. That movie is the reason I will always and forever be completely uncomfortable seeing Kirsten Dunst in a "hot babe" role. It just feels wrong.

Pretty bottle aside!
Man, even that bottle is gross. Makes me think of Pepto-Bismol.

Dead thread, but anyway...
Now that Vince has popped his Comixology cherry, I'd've thought he'd've mentioned that the Eddie Campbell book he praised (The Lovely Horrible Stuff) is available through that store/site/app - and there's a free 11 page preview too.
I'm considering buying it - it's $5.49 in Australian dollars - what's the US Comixology price?
The first issue of Archaia's Cyclops by Matz and Luc Jacamon is also available there for free.

I bought it last night.
Makes no sense - the Australian dollar is worth more than the USD.

Coming in very late here (and my thanks for the mention from Mr. Wood), But just wanted to add my compliments (catching up on a few episodes right now) on another fine show. David mentioned the black and white pilot to The Walking Dead and I was just curious, David, have you ever seen The Mist (also directed by Frank Darabont)? If you have or haven't the DVD is actually worth seeking out as Darabont also included on that package a black and white version of the film and it really adds to the experience, no doubt about it...
Anyway, just passing that along...

Great suggestion DGoodhart. I am a huge fan of that movie, in color and B&W. Stellar cast as well.

It's a great little movie. One of the few King adaptations that actually outclasses its source (the ending, in particular).

There was a collective gasp in the theater I saw it in, the air got sucked out of the room... which I believe was the desired effect.

Even Stephen King has said that he now prefers Darabont's ending... I absolutely loved it my own self... One of my favorite movies for the year it came out in...
