So I couldn't find a 2012 New York Comic Con Thread and figured I'd start one. My birthday was last week and I got passes as a gift and I'm excited, it's been far to long since I've been to a con.
So who's going? I had the great pleasure of meeting Chris two years back and I'm hoping to meet a lot more forumites this year!

After attending the San Diego Comic-Con 8 of the last 12 years, I'm now a New York Comic-Con convert. Last year was a blast. I'll be there again this year for the entire show. YES!  |

I really hope I actually meet a few people this year. First year I met Jason, and that was pretty much it. No cell service kills trying to meet up with people.

Truth the cell reception is awful. But it was funny watching someone walk and pull a dead stop when they hit a sweet spot and 5 people all walk into them |

Just booked my hotel and plane tickets for the wife and I. We'll be arriving friday morning around 9am and leaving monday night. I'll do the con, she'll do museums friday-sunday and monday will be NYC stuff together.
Total cost was $750 for everything.

I'd definitely like to make it to NYCC some year (not this year, unfortunately).

I'll be there! Saturday and Sunday for sure, I fly in Friday so I may or may not be attending then. Sad to hear the 11OC contingent will be a little slim but I'm sure we mighty few will try to make up for it!

What is your secret. Besides clean living? Book separate and stay in Jersey. United air was $355 total and the hotel is right across the Lincoln tunnel and offers $3 to and from the city per person on their shuttle. Plus i might have an extra bed if anyone needs to crash |

Really thinking about it this year. My husband and I might come up and do the con on Saturday and then part of Sunday for some deal hunting. Planning on getting there Thursday or Friday (Thursday is National Coming Out day, and I'm planning an event at work, so I may not be able to get out that day) doing a lot of shopping, a ton of eating, sightseeing and The Book of Mormon if we go.

Just broke down and booked it. Bought a three day pass because it was cheaper, but will only be going for Saturday and part of Sunday. Can't wait!
