Just got the Jaws remastered Blu-Ray, this was spectacular!

Really nice fully-restored print of the movie, looks like it's 1st run in 1975.   The Dolby 7.1 sound is BETTER than the original.

The 100-minute documentary that goes along with it is great too.  Loved hearing Spielberg, Dreyfuss, John Williams, etc, talking about the movie.

There are some deleted scenes too, but they're kind of rough, not restored like the main print of the film.

In any event, well worth checking out if you have HDTV.

Totally agree with you Bob, this is definitive Blu Ray.  With the remastering of the picture and sound to the bonus feature it was a great film and worth the money.

I just watched Alien Trespass, which is a movie made to be like the scifi alien movies fromt he 50s. Not a parady but done in that sort of style. I thought it was cool.

I bought Jaws as well. Love it, so CLEAR.

Watched the Shark is Still Working last night. Man oh man, Dreyfus is wonderfully nutty.

I know......   I really appreciate all the added documentaries & stuff.  That really makes my day for classic movies that I love, and really makes getting a "re-buy" of a movie worthwhile.

Agreed. I can't wait to spend some time with the extras coming soon with the Indiana Jones Blu.

I watched the new doc and then followed it up with the feature and I have to agree about the clarity.    The last time I saw it in the theater was a beat up print on a sunday afternoon summer classics series at the Tampa Theater.   I would have loved to see it on the big screen with a clear print like this one.

Watched the 4 hr & 40 minute Director's cut Blu Ray of Gods & Generals yesterday......then watched the documentaries.

Very Confederate focused movie (mainly focusing on Stonewall Jackson), but a fair & balanced view of both the North & South views on why they were fighting the war.   Nobody came off as douchebags.

I'm headed off to DC for vacation in a few weeks & we'll be visiting Harper's Ferry & Gettysburg while in the neighborhood.   Maybe Antietem now too.

I'll be rewatching the long version of Gettysburg before we head out as well.

DC is one of my favorite vacation destinations.   I could loose myself for weeks in the Smithsonian alone.  I gotta get back there sometime soon.

Watched Columbiana.....this movie got panned in theatrical release, I thought it was a pretty good action flick with some really improbable stuff (like MOST action flicks).

Bad-ass little girl sees her parent killed and grows up to be bad-ass Zoe Saldana (who's VERY easy on the eyes) while she exacts revenge on unsavory drug-lord types.

Not high art, but entertaining.

I think I did 3 in a week and one if not both the documentaries (it was late). You're not sick, you just have good taste. The movie is the perfect length and the perfect pace, endlessly re watchable.

I recently picked up the blu-ray of Jaws as well….wow…it is sooooo clean.  They did a remarkable job with it.  So many great lines too, I think one of my favorites is, "It's only an island if you look at it from the water."

 Thumbs Up

Watched the Gettysburg Director's Cut......4 hrs 31 minutes and worth it!   Thumbs Up

What a fabulous movie.  Probably my 5th or 6th time watching it, but 1st time on the extended cut.

Brushing up since we'll be in Gettysburg on Sept 21st.
