Huh? Double Huh. I think someone is confused. High Society, followed by Church and State parts 1 and 2 would be my understanding of the high lights of the run. Bean

Perhaps I should've added a to make my humourous intent clearer. Issue 255 of 300 issues obviously is not the jumping on point I would recommend, and I agree the highlights were in the first half of the run. I hope we can sleep better now.

I stumbled across a Friends of the Library bookshop when holidaying at my sisters recently, where they sell books taken from the local libraries. I bought all of these for $4 each. If they’re not clear, they are, Top row: Shimura featuring art work by Frank Quietly, from 2000AD; Meow Baby, by Jason, DMZ Vol. 1 (really good), People and Poses by Buddy Scalera 2nd Row: Graphic Classics featuring stories of H.P. Lovecraft by Various, Lucifer-A Dalliance with the Damned Vol. 3 by Mike Carey and Peter Gross, Acme Novelty Library Vol. 16 “Rusty Brown” by Chris Ware, Werewolf by Richard Corben (sweet!) 3rd Row: Tellos Vol. 1 “Reluctant Heroes” by Todd Dezago and Mike Wieringo, Ex Machina Vol. 1, 2 & 6 by Brian K. Vaughn and Tony Harris.

Seinfeld Seasons 1-6 for $12 total on a lowball auction over on the cheapassgamer forums.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (never seen it but I'm been meaning to. The comedy looks right up my alley) Seasons 1 & 2 - $10 total on amazon marketplace

2nd Row: Graphic Classics featuring stories of H.P. Lovecraft by Various Nice collection of stuff. Our own Jim N. on the forum has an illustration in this book. Have no experience with Shade the Changing Man at all, anyone else read it? Those are both great series and great deals. Nice. Shade is a unique series we don't see the likes of too much anymore (especially not 70 issues worth), too unique for me to predict if you'll like it, but it's Milligan and some great artists on top form doing creative and daring work. I hope you dig it. I was at McKay's, a used media store near Knoxville, Tennessee, and I picked up two things super cheap: a magazine sized Rocketeer book published by Eclipse for 50 cents, and Valerian: Ambassador of Shadows for $2. Valerian is written by Pierre Christin, a European author I've liked in the past, and it's science fiction. Couldn't go wrong for 2 bucks.

I'm excited right now! I just put in an order for A Drifting Life by Yoshihiro Tatsumi for $7.59 from chapters. It's the trade but still I feel like celebrating. I wasn't even looking for it and just ran into it and I was in a bit of disbelief. I always intended to get it but it was on a long long list and I had another order on the way. Oh well I couldn't resist for over 800 pages hopefully it all works out.

there was a 50% off sale at a used book store that happens to have a "comic warehouse" that they open once a quarter or so, so i scored: iron fist #1 tomb of dracula #9, #29, #39 (the nines thing is just a coincidence) batman #343, #350, #351 daredevil #61, #71, #90, #92
for just over $20. of course it's not like finding them all in the quarter bins, but considering the books and their age, i thought it was a pretty great deal. i've seen iron first #1 go for $20 by itself. (worth noting that all except iron fist are gene colan books (intentional), and all are in pretty decent shape except a few of the daredevils are kinda beat up.)

A issue of Shock Rockets by Busiek/Immonen, Byrne's OMAC, and Book One of Chaykin's Blackhawk for $1. Also picked up Essential Defenders Vol.2 for like half off. This better be good and I guess I need to read more Gerber.

Estate sale promising comics in the advert. Mostly Archie (...which I would've bought if cheaper.) These were worth a couple of bucks each to me. Yellow Submarine has poster intact and attached.
