the first 3 albums are great. 4 and 5 seem very rushed like they were trying to quickly finish the arc. but 6,7,8 are back to the quality of the first 3. william vance draws the shit out of cars.

Rocketeer Adventures
Fun shorts and great artists. It actually makes me optimistic about great artists telling Watchmen stories. Rocketeer has always been one of those untouchable franchises to me.
Adele Blanc Sec Vol 2
I've only finished the first story in the collection so far. I love the art, and the high concept of these stories, but if I have to be honest I get really confused in these books. There are so many characters with black mustaches and french names. I can't keep everyone straight.

My DCBS box showed up today and the first thing I read was Godland #35. It was great. I have the sinking feeling that issue #36 will be the end. But hey, all good things come to an end ... and I think that means there's enough material left to print a third "Celestial Edition".

Oh! My dcbs box also contained the gloriously over-sized, extended, hardcover edition of Officer Downe. Woe be unto the comic reader that did not order a copy!

Heavy Metal Magazine from 1981-1984. Forgot how instrumental this stuff was for shaping my comic/music world. ...and not because of naked boobies, but then again, the boobies certainly ruled.

Anyone read issue 1 of Fatale yet? I enjoyed it, though I'm a sucker for Brubaker/Phillips stories. Still not sure how the Cthulu monster with the tommygun is going to fit in, but they've got me interested. What did you all think?

I have a few things on the go: Tintin - gonna go see the movie on Friday, so picked up some Tintin as I've never read any and felt I should educate myself The Unwritten - Rereading/catching up on The Unwritten. I'm about 15 issues behind, so time to read to what I've got to see if it's something I want to continue getting. Mr. Murder Is Dead - picked this up on Xmas day via comixology with an iTunes gift card. Loving it so far.

@ Dave Faust, what did you think of Air? I have read the first two volumes and have 3 and 4 sitting here in my ever growing regina pile. I really liked what I read from the first two volumes but I felt that high concept and type of book it was led it down the path that most books of this ilk suffer from which was keeping a large enough audience to keep it going. Perker's art on it was fantastic as well. Interested to hear what you thought of it.
I finished up X-Men: Schism last night, the battle everyone was waiting for. I thought Aaron did a great job on this and I liked how they changed up the artists every issue, there were some gorgeous pages throughout. The Regenesis issue at the end was an interesting look at how the X books were going to be handled moving forward.
About halfway through the Kamandi Omnibus and loving every page of it.
