Corto Maltese: Ballad of the Salt Sea
This is just perfect adventure comics. It is a strange beast to because it is a lot less action packed than it would seem yet at the same time it has a ton of forward momentum. A lot of people seem to be up in arms about the color in this edition, I did not have a problem with it. I hope they have plans to release more Pratt.

Yes

At least it (For Tomorrow) was free.

No doubt.  Anything free can't be all bad.

That is some quality reading! I just finished the Steig Larson series recently and loved all of the books despite my trepidation. Salender is one of the best female chracters, ever.

Just scored Avengers 158,159, 254-300 and Annuals 11-17 for 29.99 on ebay.  Half of John Buscema's  work on the tittle.  Also, went online to Comicbookcollectorlive.com and bought Fantastic Four issues 263-393 for 98 cents a piece. Rest of Byrne's run.  I'm in Nerd Heaven Boogie

Batman Streets of Gotham vol1 by Dini and Nguyen...awesome storyline.  Dini brings back Hush and makes him an interesting character.  A lot of villains featured throughout this trade with a bit of Dick Grayson Batman.

Looking forward to vol2.

SF Supplementary File #2 A, B, C by Ryan Cecil Smith

These 3 comics are amazing. They are drawn from Leiji Matsumoto's Queen Emeraldas and Matsumoto is a comics artist who needs more play EVERYWHERE. Loving tributes of the highest order with really interesting color schemes. Also I think the first risograph comics work I have read.

Here is the cover to C

Oh I also got RUB THE BLOOD in the mail and man that is a fun comic.

Well that was a big book, it took some time to appreciate the art style but it works really well with the story. Alan Moore has this great ability to make me feel like I'm not clever enough to read parts of his book and yet still be able to understand the general story. Its difficult to say if I really enjoyed this because lets be fair a story about a series of murders of London prostitutes is not the most enjoyable story you are ever going to find but i think its a very well crafted story and a great example of the medium. I think this Alan Moore guy might have a future in comics  Cheesy

Cool! I've been meaning to get a hold of that since I heard it mentioned on the recent Inkstuds Critics Roundtable. Sounds awesome  Yes
