I read huge chunk of Bone this morning. Atleast 400 pages. I could not be loving this thing anymore. It's like the part of my brain that gets off on all these stories we read and dig, just got its first blow job.

Punisher Max.
Jason AARon-still killing it. He is able to mimic urban gangsta lingo as well as hick rascist slang.
Steve Dillon- still crushing it. His stripped down style shows you every horrid detail of what violence is.
Dwayne Johnson- still bangin' it. I would sell a kidney to own a DJ Punisher cover.

Agreed. SO far loving everything about PunisherMAX. Picked this up on a whim, and I gotta say I really enjoyed it. Updated old-school X-Men action, with really nice art by Cruz. And I love the running gag of the team wondering when their "regular costumes" will be fixed.

The Ice Wanderer & Other Stories – Solid manga involving life in the north and other slice of life stories. Sometimes I want to like stories more than I do but it seems to take an extra step for slice of life stories to enter into the great realm. Uzumaki Vol.3 – I dreaded reading this one because of the creepy factor. I wanted to wait to until the right time and that certainly wasn’t going to be at night. There are not many things that I read that fill me with the feeling of dread. The Walking Dead does that and so did the previous two volumes. The focus on basically one incident and previous horrors made this volume not as scary/creepy, which peaked in volume 2 for me. Hard Boiled – First time reading this, Good stuff. Darrow’s crazy detailed work made this more worthwhile than Miller’s script. I have a reference point for other similar stories to this now like Officer Downe. iZombie Vol.1: Dead to the World – Cool that the Halloween story was included in here since it ties in so well with the series. I had only read the first couple issues when they came out and think those were the ones that most entertained me although the revelations later on were interesting. I wonder how the paper quality is decided on Vertigo books since more of the ones I’m buying seem to be coming with the shiny stock instead of the thick newsprint now.

Thirteen by Richard K. Morgan - I'm approaching the halfway point in this novel about a genetically bred super-soldier who is a gun for hire that makes his living hunting down renegade super-soldiers. I'm loving the pacing and dialogue. It is my favorite of Morgan's novels since Altered Carbon.

I got several things off of DC's downloadable comics this week.
Justice League: Generation Lost 23
What a fun issue. Big ass fight, then the heavy hitters (Power Girl, Batman, Captain Atom) get separated from the team, and the big ass fight continues. Max Lord is the best villain. This team is the best Justice League.
Brightest Day 14
Focusing on Deadman was a great turn for the series, and this is where Batman actually came over to Generation Lost. It's cool to see the crossover, I could see how continuity could get addictive. It's too bad that DC isn't up to day and date with Brightest Day.
Re-Evolution 1
Fun story about a chihuahua freedom fighter against the oppresive gorillas in mech suits. It also hints that there are men somewhere on the planet still as well. I thought it was going to be just ok when I started, but I really had a good time with this book.
Chase 1
I've been wanting to check out this series for a long time. I'm a big JH Williams fan, but there's no good collection of Chase. This was really cool. It had a sort of Gotham Central vibe, only it's more focused on a single protagonist. I'd love to learn more about her place in the DCU. I excited by the prospect of DC releasing the rest of this series digitally.
So there you go, a lot of good reading on the iPad.

Cracked open DangerGirl last night. I remember reading it years ago in issues and thinking how shallow I was for reading it. Now, I read it and realize that it's a whole heap of fun.
