John Byrne Sensational She-Hulk vol. 1 tpb Byrne makes a light hearted fun comic available for the masses. Yes it does not have the greatest villains & breaks the 4th wall to the reader (Matthew) often with the story lacking at points or being wrapped up in a hurry but Byrne still has art that is 2nd to none in his post Superman era of his career. If you want something different give this a try. 3 stars out of 5 stars rating.

just get 3 and 4, they'll most likely be better than the rest of your pile anyway. i am having a terrible time getting through volume 1 of cerebus. |

Interested to hear what you think. I've had my eye on it for a while. It beckons to me whenever I'm in the LCS... and don't know how much longer I'll be able to resist it.
It was really good. The story was a solid fictional story. The dialog seemed like it would fit better in the Korean War rather than Vietnam. Just a seemed a little dated, but good. What I really enjoyed was studying Kubert's line work. It was great to see how he handles planes and forms w/ pencils. Awesome and educational. Now I'm on to Comic Book Comics. |

I finally read Tall Tales. The prequel to the Bone epic. The book is drawn by Jeff Smith which always fantastic, and written by a Tom Sniegoski. The writer is honestly what kept me from picking it up for so long. It's not the book that Bone was (few are) and it didn't tie quite as closely to the Bone story as Rose did, but I still enjoyed the book through and through. They're fun stories rooted deeply in the American tall tale tradition. Big Johnson Bone had grown on me by the end and it was fun to see how it did look at the problems between the rat creatures and dragons from long, long before anything we had read. I'd say it's a good book if you're a huge Smith fan, or if your kids want more Bone after you've exhausted the main story and Rose. Apparently their are some illustrated novels written by this guy too, but I haven't investigated those.

You should *not* start with the first phonebook. Begin with volume 2, High Society, and then go on to volume 3 and 4, Church & State. If you dig those (which you will), then go back and read the first one  |

 Quite enjoyed this. It's a reasonable vampire yarn, but it really made me hungry for a good biography Abraham Lincoln. He really seems to be one of the great American leaders and a great human being. Any recommendations for a good solid biography? |

I ordered 3+4 anyway  Read a few Enis books tonight The Pro- Laughed my ass off, and Connners art is fantastic as always Battlefields: The Night Witches- Really enjoyed this look from the German and Russian perspectives. Will be trying out the rest |

Sandman Mystery Theatre is one of my favorite all time series but I've never actually finished it...I'm not 100% sure exactly where I got behind, but I think in the low 50's. I've decided to read the series from beginning to end and I'm excited about it.

Just read "Herc" #3- I'm still on the fence. I love the concept of a God who has lost his immortality walking around with ancient powerful magical weapons. It's like Kratos, but in modern day Marvel New York. But there is still something missing. I guess if I'm on the fence after three issues, I should just drop it?
Just read "Venom" #2- It's dope! It's like Spider-man mixed with a little of The Punisher, then throw in some Shield guys. Remender and Moore are kicking ass as usual. Plus Kraven is my favorite Spidey villain. I'm glad he's back and hanging around again the Marvel U.
"Batman & Robin" #23- Also good! I love Judd Winnick's Red Hood. Small problem though, did they just retcon his hair color? Jason Todd has always been black haired, in this issue he's a total ginger! His beard is red too so you can't just say it's dye! Weird, and brings up more retconning questions.
